Orphion is a musical instrument with a unique sound between string and percussion. Its interface was developed especially for touch screen and allows very expressive and also virtuosic playing. You can choose between different layouts of tonally tuned pads, which sound differently depending on the finger position.
Nuremberg, Germany - Indie developer Bastus Trump announces that the iPad instrument Orphion gets an update with new recording features. If you haven't heard about it yet: Orphion is a musical instrument with a unique sound between string and percussion. Its interface was developed especially for touch screen and allows very expressive an also virtuosic playing. You can choose between different layouts of tonally tuned pads, which sound differently depending on the finger position when played and can by modulated by further movements. The sound and the way of interaction is a mixture of string and percussion instruments and reaches from soft to plucked to a hard slap. This new version brings recordings and sharing functionality to EMail, SoundCloud or AudioCopy.
The concept of the Orphion resulted from the master thesis of the creator and developer Bastus Trump at UdK Berlin supervised by Robert Henke (aka monolake). The topic was to develop an interface for multitouch screens which allows a maximum of expression. The basic idea behind is a strong link between interface and sound like on every acoustic instrument - when you buy a violin it will always sound like one although you can create thousands of different sounds with it if course. Nevertheless MIDI-Out was added later to allow playing all kinds of synths and own sounds with it. For further updates an editor for own pad layouts is also planed.

To celebrate the start of the competition Frederic - Resurrection of Music Complete can be downloaded for free for a limited time. Starting today the players can compete in the "Frederic - Resurrection of Music" overall leaderboard. Their task is to score the highest number of points throughout the entire game's campaign. The player who scores the most points will become owner of a hand crafted jewellery worth more than a compact car. Two runner ups will also be awarded gifts of lesser value.

"This is not an ordinary collection - it has been made to commemorate Frederic Chopin's 200th birthday anniversary in 2010. There were only 200 sets made worldwide, each with assigned serial number, and the one to win in our competition bears the number 001. It's a perfect, unique prize" - says Debicki.

Code Signing:
Code signing is required for both the Mac App Store & OS X Mountain Lion. App Wrapper's Code signing engine is capable of code signing helper apps, frameworks, plugins & AppleScripts.
Sandboxing:
Required for the Mac App Store. App Wrapper 2.0 features a new GUI interface to simplify the specification of Entitlement keys and their values. It includes tools to help validate a Sandboxed application and to track down Sandbox violations.
Application & Document Icons:
App Wrapper can add High Resolution ICNS files to the application bundle, or it can generate High Resolution ICNS files from almost any transparent image. App Wrapper also features a 'Document Icon Maker' that can generate (AHIG conforming) High Resolution ICNS files using the Application icon and a simple identifier. App Wrapper uses High Qaulity scaling to retain as much detail when generating icons at smaller sizes. When creating Retina compatible applications, App Wrapper can generate HiDPI ICNS files (dependant on the specified Minimum OS).
Apple Compatible Help:
App Wrapper can add a Help folder or Help file into the application bundle, and add the correct keys to the plist. App Wrapper also features a Help Validator that will check the help documents for simple XHTML errors, broken links, missing images and other common errors with help documentation.
Verification:
App Wrapper features several functions for validating applications. It performs a plist validation when 'wrapping' an application, along with other checks. When a code signed application is opened in App Wrapper, it will perform a code sign check, a sandbox check and even search for sandbox violations.
Uniform Type Identifiers (UTI):
App Wrapper features functionality to add importable and exportable UTIs to an application, it includes a function that can generate a matching UTI from a document type. This enables developers to easily add support for "Document Packages".
Plist Editing:
Many required plist keys can be specified using the App Wrapper interface. For more advanced plist editing, App Wrapper includes a simple plist editor.
Retina Compatibility:
When selected, App Wrapper will set the correct plist key to enable HiDPI function. If App Wrapper is being used to generate icons for the application. It can also create HiDPI icon files (HiDPI icon generation is dependant on the Minimum OS specified).
Installer or Zip File?
The Mac App Store requires applications to be submitted in the form of a OS X Installer Package, App Wrapper can be used to create these packages and will code sign them. App Wrapper can generate Zip Files, which is a more popular format for posting software to web sites.

App Wrapper features GUI options for configuring the Apple About Box. Included in the App Wrapper help is code for Real Studio developers to use, that will display a genuine Apple About Box.

Istanbul, Turkey - DahaBaska Digital Agency today is pleased to introduce Text Here 1.0 for iOS, their new photo-editing app that allows users to place text notes on photos. Choosing from four shapes, Arrow, Circle, Thinking Balloon, and Speech Balloon, users may add text to their own photos or to photos from photo sharing networks. For business or personal use, users may take a photo, select a picture from their camera roll, Facebook, or Instagram, or access photos that have already been saved in the Text Here photo album.
Text Here provides a text box to label the photo and options for additional text boxes. Users may choose from four customizable options, that allow the user to easily move, type, and resize text boxes with simple screen swipes. The Arrow option provides a rectangular text box in which to enter a text note or label. In addition, a red arrow is provided to allow users to point to an element or elements in the photo. The Circle option also allows users to place the adjustable circle around a part of the picture to highlight it. Like the Arrow option, users are also provided with a rectangular editable text box.

In addition, users may tap the tail of the bubble to lengthen it, shorten it, or change its direction.
Once users have placed text on photos, they may save the resulting image or share it via email, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Perfect for business or personal use, Text Here's possibilities are limitless. Real Estate professionals can quickly email a client a picture of a house with brief text indicating its location and price. Scrapbookers can create instant captions for photos and post online or save to be printed. Family members can post a picture of a child's first tooth on Facebook, complete with clever caption. In addition, photographers can easily and clearly attach a text copyright to their photos to discourage unauthorized use.
