Apple has been having a rough time with its iTunes Match service over the last few months. The product was more than a month late to market here in the US, and its international rollout didn’t go much smoother. Well it doesn’t look like Apple’s troubles are over quite yet. Cult of Mac is reporting that it has discovered a bug in the iTunes Match service that replaces songs with explicit lyrics with their cleaner counterparts…(...) Apple has received some slack of late over the perceived conditions of the Chinese workers who build its hugely popular products. With the eyes of the world currently firmly fixed on the likes of Foxconn, people are beginning to look more closely at the real cost of building our iPhones and iPads. An online petition, set up to urge Apple to protect its Chinese workers has received 162,000 signatures in just over a week, with the number continuing to grow. It’s been a good day for Cydia releases. Not long after RingerX VIP was released comes MyAssistant (formerly called MySiri). MyAssistant brings a gang of new customization options to Siri; everything from custom conversations to toggles, Activator events, and more. A few months after Apple released iOS 5 to the public last year, a major bug was found in the software’s new iMessage application. Several users reported that their iMessage accounts continued to remain active after wiping their devices. Gizmodo added fuel to the fire yesterday when it published several images of strange iMessage conversations it was receiving on an iPhone after visiting an Apple Store for tech support. Apparently, when a Genius inserted his personal SIM card into the phone to test the device, the handset locked on to his iMessage account…(...) Apple has been taking a lot of heat lately for failing to effectively pursue safer working conditions in its overseas manufacturing plants, but also for outsourcing its product assembly to China – because you know, they’re the only company outsourcing to China… If there is one thing the company is doing well these days, it’s their charity donation program, which was initiated by Tim Cook as he became CEO of Apple last year.(...)
