I have an iPhone 4 and over the last few weeks I have had issues where in the middle of a conversation my music (iTunes) will just start playing. While on the call if I tap on music it does not show that anything is playing and there is no way to turn it off without ending the telephone call. Just today I tried making a call and as soon as I placed the call the music started. Has anyone else had this issue?
I've never had any issues with it at all but am wondering if it's time to upgrade to the 5. I have heard that the 5S is coming out soon. Does anyone know if that's a rumor or if it's true how soon will it be released?
Thanks!
Jennifer

Try resetting the phone. Hold down the button on the top until it tells you to slide to turn it off. Then turn it back on. See if that helps.

Holding it down longer did nothing more than the usual turning it off.

You might try restarting the phone by holding down the Sleep/Wake & Home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears on your screen. The new phones are rumored to be announced this fall.

So you still have the problem? I'm assuming that you are fully backed up in iTunes. If so then go to the phone's settings/general/

Hold down the On/Off button AND the Home button until the white Apple appears, then let it sit until the re-boot cycle completes.

Okay. I did that. Hopefully this will resolve the problem. I won't know until I use it for a while to see it if happens again.
I like my phone so I really don't feel a need to upgrade - but will if need be.
Thanks for the help!

I hope that when I wake up tomorrow, whatever snit my iMac got into will be one, but just in case:
I went away for a month, iMac turned off. I got home at midnight tonight after a hard day of travel and it would not turn on, not even an attempt. I'll try to figure it out in the morning but does anyone have any ideas? It's plugged into a power strip and other things plugged are working ine.
Thanks for any help.

How old is it?
Check the PRAM battery.

After trying the PRAM reset in vain, I unplugged it and plugged it in elsewhere and it started up. After a month of emails have downloaded I'll try it in the same surge strip and see if it might have been one socket. As I said last night, other things plugged into the strip work. Thanks for the suggestions. What a relief!

The easiest way to get MySQL and PHPAdmin up an running is to use the opensource software MAMP.
<http://mamp.info/en/index.html >
Caveat: SQL versions are rather low lever programming languages. FMPro and 4D are much easier to program but one can easily get a usable database while one fine tunes it.

Good idea, after checking I found that all the other groups work properly and show up as expanded.
The problem seems to be only for my "usual" group.
Thanks.
