The iProteins app allows users to easily find out the amount of protein in over 1,100 different food servings which is extremely helpful for Vegans, Vegetarians and also Body Builders. The new version has been tested on iOS 5 and provides some minor bug fixes in addition to some stunning new graphics. Also similarly updated are the other iNutrient apps: iCals, iCarbs, iCholesterol, iFiber, iSatFat, iSugars, and Vitamin K.

The iProteins app provides information about foods and how they are rated for protein content. This is given as a means to assist in deciding which foods to eat. In addition to being useful for Vegans and Vegetarians, who want to make sure they take in a sufficient amount of protein, iProteins will also help bodybuilders get the high intake of proteins they want. The following colors help readily identify which is which:

* Black = Rated extremely high in Proteins (30.01 - 51.89 g)
* Dark Red = Rated very high in Proteins (20.01 - 30.00 g)
* Red = Rated high in Proteins (15.01 - 20.00 g)
* Orange = Rated moderately high in Proteins (12.01 - 15.00 g)
* Yellow = Rated moderate in Proteins (9.01 - 12.00 g)
* Light Green = Rated moderately low in Proteins (6.01 - 9.00 g)
* Green = Rated low in Proteins (3.01 - 6.00 g)
* Cyan = Rated very low in Proteins (0.01 - 3.00 g)
* White = Rated extremely low in Proteins (less than 0.01 g)

There are eight tables listing foods:
* All Foods (includes search capability)
* Fast Foods
* Fruits & Vegetables
* Meat, Fish & Shellfish
* Dairy & Egg
* Cereal Grains & Pasta
* Sweets
* Snacks

The All Foods table includes a search capability to quickly find food servings you are interested in.

Selecting an item in any of the tables will display pertinent information about the selected food serving:
* Food Title
* Weight in grams
* Common Measure, e.g., 1/2 cup, etc.
* Protein Content
* Calories
* Percentage of Protein by Weight
* USDA Description
* USDA Food Group
* USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference ID

Information is derived from the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference: Protein Content of Selected Foods per Common Measure. There are currently over 1,100 different food servings included, searchable using approximately 2,500 names (some foods are known by different names or how they are prepared, e.g., "Egg, Scrambled" and "Scrambled Egg"). Background:
The Life Inventory apps were created because of the complexity and length of time needed to complete a proper Moral Inventory. When persons working their way through a 12-step program start creating their own moral inventory and discover that some ways of doing a Moral Inventory might require a thousand spreadsheets, the task seems daunting and many never get around to finishing it, thus depriving themselves of the rewards a completed Moral Inventory can provide. This app is an attempt at finding a way to make the task less time consuming, while at the same time helping the user create a valuable asset in their recovery process.

Storage of the Life Inventory data is done using an underlying database which can be backed up and restored as necessary.

Disclaimer - This app is neither officially produced nor approved by Alcoholics Anonymous or any other Addiction Recovery program. From what is known there have been many Moral Inventory spreadsheets circulating unofficially among AA members for at least 50 years in various versions and this app is based on one the developer found to be useful and more comprehensive than most.

Acknowledgement:
Many thanks to "George" and his "Dungeon Prison Complete" spreadsheet which has been used as the outline for this app. This spreadsheet was developed based on years of his own personal research of the AA Big Book, along with help from many others who had already gone through the process of completing their own Moral Inventories. This was done in order to more fully understand the concepts necessary for completing his own Moral Inventory. George's extensive research resulted in the creation of the "Dungeon Prison Complete" spreadsheet, a detailed set of instructions on how to create a Moral Inventory, including several new concepts not directly covered in the AA Big Book: Sources of Anxiety/Excitement as a 4th Category; and a set of Sex Relations exercises. Both of these new elements were discovered to be critical in eventually understanding why we do what we do, the end result of completing your own Moral Inventory.

Anyone, Not Just 12-Steppers, Can Benefit from Completing a Life Inventory:

The process of completing a Life Inventory doesn't directly address addictions specifically, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Life Inventory apps gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. The questions asked help the user delve into areas often never considered before like:

* What did I want?
* Why did I want it?
* What am I not admitting?
* What lie did I tell myself? (always present)
* What did I leave out or not say?
* What lie did I tell others?
* Have I ever done the same thing?
* Was it any of my business?
* Were my expectations reasonable?
* What was the real truth?
* What was I not seeing?
* Did I fail to see the facts of the situation?
* What actions did I take to get what I wanted?
* What actions did I omit to get what I wanted?

Sometimes the questions are difficult to answer, but once done, they help provide significant insight into why certain choices were made and, more importantly, determining there are often alternative choices available which will make life so much better in the future.

Place Clock is designed as an improved version iPhone's clock app that allow you to create place and time based alarms side by side. The app has recently been updated to version 2.0 and new to this version are stopwatches and timers that also can be associated to a location. This allows you to for example set up a stopwatch on your work or gym and see how much time you spend there day for day as long as the stopwatch is running.

Another nice feature is that you can set location rules on time alarms so that the they will only sound if you are at or not at a place of your choice. You can for example use this to set different wake up times in the morning based on if you sleep at your own home or at say your girlfriends home. In the same way you can set time rules on location alarms. For example you can set an alarm to get a reminder when you get close to a certain shop but only if it's a week day during opening hours.

Place Clock has a well organised user interface that really looks and feels like a plus-version standard clock app.

The Basics:
Everyone moves while sleeping. The more movement the lighter the sleep, the less movement the deeper the sleep. WakeApp is placed on the bed and records the body movements using the accelerometer. It uses a mathematic formula based on scientific sleep research (actigraphy) to determine the sleep phases from these body movements.

Intelligent Wakeup Window:
During an intelligent wakeup window of 30 minutes ending at the set alarm time, WakeApp choses the most suitable wakeup moment. The wakeup moment is adapted to the individual night's sleep. As a result and in contrast to other apps, WakeApp will not trigger the alarm upon the slightest movement at the start of the wakeup window.

Sleep Pattern Graph:
The recorded body movements form the input for calculating the sleep pattern. WakeApp distinguishes between light and deep sleep phases. The resulting sleep pattern is displayed as a graph and visualizes the sleep cycles. Most importantly, WakeApp does not generate random sleep cycles as opposed to other sleep apps. This fact can be easily verified by simply placing the iPhone on a table overnight.

Sleep Analysis:
In addition to calculating the sleep pattern, WakeApp also determines how long it took a user to fall asleep and to wake up. All this information is transformed into the sleep quality index (SQI), a value between 0 and 100 indicating the quality of the sleep. The SQI makes it easy to compare multiple sleep recordings relative to each other.

All in all, the latest update of WakeApp gives users a powerful app for the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to track their sleep habits and improve their sleep quality.

Tainan, Taiwan - Kdan Mobile has released a significant update for its note-taking app, NoteLedge for iPad, which combines handwriting, typing, audio and video recording all in one package. To celebrate the upcoming Christmas holidays, NoteLedge 1.1 provides four E-card templates and a wide collection of Christmas-themed stamps that allow users to design and decorate one of a kind Christmas cards for their loved ones. Furthermore, users are given the ability to customize note templates using pictures from their photo library. The newly-added palm rest area, on the other hand, ensures a smooth handwriting and drawing environment for stylus users. This update is also equipped with richer functionality that supports various photo filters, Facebook integration, and WebDAV client.

As indicated by Kdan Mobile, NoteLedge enables iPad users to easily jot down notes and create travel journals with its featured patented tool, the Navigator.
