If you use Office a lot I'd stick with Outlook 2011 since it integrates with Office in some beneficial ways. The Mac Outllook, however, pales in comparison to its Windows counterpart. Mail doesn't offer much more, although if you add Mail ActOn and/or Mailtags it becomes much more useful. Postbox is nice, but is optimized for gmail users. Works fine with other providers, and is worth a look. There's also Thunderbird and Sparrow, both of which you can demo I believe.

Thanks Rob. I do use Office a lot. As I recall I tried Outlook 2011 when I
first got the Mac but wasn't impressed and stuck with Outlook 2010. Maybe
I'll give 2011 another try. Is it safe to assume it syncs OK with my
iDevices via iTunes?
