Istanbul, Turkey - Vivec Entertainment revealed its first game, "Shadow of a Soul: Chapter I," a first-person survival horror game that creates an immersive environment for the player that is rich with story, puzzles, and terrifying horror elements. In the first trailer, The Room, we are witnesses to the confusion and horror faced by a man as he records his final moments on tape.

"Shadow of a Soul: Chapter I" is the first in a planned trilogy. In the vein of traditional adventure games, players will need to solve puzzles, search for clues, and uncover the mysteries while hiding from various manifestations of ghosts.

Chapter I's story revolves around a thief named Jack who is on an industrial espionage mission to steal the blueprints of a new product. However, as he makes his way into the office complex, he discovers that there's much more to this place than meets the eye. As unnatural sounds and horrifying visions begins to unravel before his eyes, Jack begins to have the unnerving feeling that he has become the target of a malignant presence and he isn't allowed to leave... just yet. Jack's terrifying journey will lead him to several mysterious encounters that will leave their marks on his mind as well as his flesh.

"For me, Shadow of a Soul is all about creating the creepiest, and most shocking gaming experience. The goal of Chapter 1 is to dig the foundations for the following two chapters while telling a satisfying story in its own right. SOAS: Chapter 1 has been in development for over a year and contains between 12-16 hours of game play. The game will retail at USD19.99. It has been developed primarily for Windows and Macintosh platforms, however, a PS3 version of the game will be released in 2013.

The game will be released on 10.24.2012, one week before Halloween. Gamers can now pre-order Shadow of a Soul for $15.99 and save 20% on the official purchase price, plus: earn a producer credit and download three ambient tracks from the game.

Paint smoothing - Draw a shape and the stroke will be redrawn smoother. This removes any wobble or jitter.

The eraser restores the image to the original. This works with both paint and any filters applied to the image to allow advanced images.

A clone brush allows the cloning of an area just as in desktop painting programs.

Finger Offset - When painting with your fingertip it is difficult to precisely place a stroke because your finger obscures the paint as it is being applied. This makes it difficult to connect lines or mark a photograph. The finger offset allows users to apply paint away from their finger where they can see it. A cursor allows them to make the exact lineup before commencing to paint.

Smart Shapes - Draw an approximation of a line or circle and the shape will be redrawn precisely. This is great for notations on photos and minimizes the need to keep changing tools.

Text layers can be created with different colors and fonts. The same two-finger process to resize and rotate overlays is used with text layers as well. The text can be used to document a photo or to make a greeting.

Squiggles also includes a number of filters similar to the PhotoBooth application on the Mac to distort the image or change values.

All images are saved to the Photo Album so users can email them, save them to their desktop, make wallpapers or save as contacts.

All typed or pasted text is searchable to easily find the pages needed. A typed keyword on a sketch allows it to easily be found. Corporate Smalltalk Consulting has announced Fax Viewer 1.8.7 for iOS, an update to their document viewer app that allows the user to view the TIF files generated by office fax machines. As faxes are increasingly emailed to save on paper costs, Fax Viewer works by supplementing the existing document display logic found in iOS 4 & 5, which only displays the first page of a fax but does not show subsequent pages. Fax Viewer is not only a viewer, but supports a FAX to PDF conversion process.

Sidney, BC, Canada - Corporate Smalltalk Consulting, Ltd. has announced Fax Viewer 1.8.7 for iOS, a feature update to their document viewer app that allows the user to either view the TIF files generated by standard office fax machines, or convert them to PDF documents for other apps to use.

As faxes are increasingly emailed to save on paper costs, Fax Viewer works by supplementing the existing document display logic found in iOS 4.x and 5.0, which will only display the first page of a fax but not allow access to subsequent pages. The app includes newly enhanced page manipulation features to allow the sizing and rotation of pages as fax pages sometimes arrive in various orientations, tap areas for paging, and adjustments to swipe to scroll. Bookmarking support is provided on a page basis to allow navigation within the document, but also external bookmarking allows for opening an existing fax to a page by tapping a custom URL received in the Mail.app or copy/pasted into Notes.app.

Fax Viewer enables viewing of multi-page faxes by first importing the entire file into its storage area. Once imported, the file undergoes one-time pre-rendering that ensures the fax is optionally re-scaled to be optically correct and to provide the fastest possible rendering when viewing as a multi-page document. The user can copy documents into Fax Viewer by using iTunes to copy files into, delete, or copy them out of the app, or a manual process to move files from Mail.app into Fax Viewer.

Now supporting variable size pages, scaling by width or height, and continuous pixel level scrolling to allow you to treat a fax like a roll of paper.
