The default Overview mode also summarizes the Total Number of Code Files, Number of Images, and Number of XIB Files (XML representations of a Coca-built user interface). In a clean window display of Size-Oriented Metrics, the application displays the following: total files size; total lines of code (LOC); total lines of code (KLOC); total lines of code without spaces/empty lines (SLOC); total lines of code comments; average SLOC per file; and average lines of comments per file.

Bar graphs display additional statistics, including: top 15 source files by lines of code, top 15 image files by size, and top 15 XIB files by size. The Export mode offers PDF and/or CSV export of stats, including the following: c/cpp files, h files, m files, image files, and XIB files.

Little Falls, Minnesota - Zoomable Media has announced the release of "Mutually Assured Destruction: 101 Keys to Understanding the Cold War" for Apple's iBooks app on iPad. Mutually Assured Destruction is an electronic text book created with iBooks Author. It is designed for use with students in grades 7-12, and for the enlightenment of anyone who finds the study of history important. The title features descriptions of 101 essential events, people, places, and concepts of the Cold War, and is copiously illustrated with high resolution pictures and maps, each including audio captions of interesting facts and little-known details of this period in history.
The multi-touch textbook is a collaboration between Zoomable Media Inc. and master history teacher Brian Hurd of Mary of Lourdes Middle School in Little Falls, MN.
Brian has worked with middle school students for 20 years, teaching about ancient civilizations, Minnesota History, American History, World Geography, and computers. During this time he has visited Egypt, Greece, Rome, and China (the latter six times, for one-month teaching experiences at middle schools). Brian has encountered more than 30 countries on every continent except Antarctica, including all 50 US states, focusing his adventures on history and the things he teaches.

The new version can insert pictures in plain text expansions. Inserting pictures as part of a plain text snippet via Typinator's Includes mechanism instead of using formatted text has several advantages: you can save space by reusing the same picture in many expansions, you can easily exchange pictures by replacing the included picture files, and you can insert pictures in plain text snippets, which assume the font of the target document.
Typinator 5.6 also contains many enhancements behind the scenes to improve compatibility with third-party applications like Mail, iStudio Publisher, FirstClass, AirMail, Chrome, Firefox, MonoDevelop, and others. It also works around bugs in products by JetBrains, which cause various expansion problems (in particular, IntelliJ, PhpStorm, WebStorm, PyCharm, AppCode, MPS, RubyMine). All these backstage tweaks are not visible as new features at the first sight, but form the basis for what makes Typinator unique compared to similar tools: speed, robustness, and reliability.

BatchOutput Server automates InDesign output tasks by processing files from watched hot folders. The software offloads output to a central system leaving operator workstations free from the printing process. InPreflight is a powerful all-in-one solution to check InDesign documents and prepare them for final output and shipping.
