Howdy.
And now more Thunderbolt stuff coming out.
Finally a Thunderbolt device a bit more affordable.
HighPoint, RocketStor RS512 Drive Dock (HighPoint Technologies, Inc.)
$199.00 USD at Amazon.

This is a drive dock like the Thermaltake BlacX and Voyager Q.
Good Stuff:
- Two bays can hold two 3.5 inch hard drives, or, two 2.5 inch hard
drives, or mix them, or works with SSD drives.
- One Thunderbolt port.
Bad Stuff.
It would be more flexible is it had a USB AND a Thunderbolt port.
I've never heard of the HighPoint brand.
Does anybody have an opinion of the brand quality good or bad?

Highpoint has been around for a long time and is generally respected. The Highpoint Rocket RAID card is used a lot in the video business.
$200 for a drive dock is nuts. My eSATA drive docks cost me $35. Thunderbolt is an interesting device as a high performance bus for RAIDs or CPU connection, but it's simply not competitive in with applications that can be handled by HDMI, Mini-display, and USB 3. Apple needs to get the price down, but I don't see how that can happen.
Cheers,

Yeah, little details like being in a RV campground and using their WiFi bandwidth, makes a big difference.
Since it is possibly remote, it is probably worse than WiFi in a motel or hotel.

I'd try going home to see if YouTube works! :-)
