AFAIK all you should need to do is:-
Enable Internet Sharing (already done).
Connect an ethernet cable. This will automatically become the primary
network connection.
Leave AirPort (Wi-Fi) *on* and it will be available for sharing.
I'm on 10.8 but I'll try this later if you have no luck.
