PhotoTorial Launches On The App Store for Aspiring Photographers - Published on 07/01/13

Whether just starting out in photography or a serious enthusiast, award-winning travel photographer Chris McLennan has launched a new iOS app to make sure photographers can have the best advice at their fingertips, wherever they are. With around 200 pages of text, photos, articles and practical advice, PhotoTorial is simple and easy to use with an active interface for navigation through the four different sections; Albums, Articles, Tutorial and Field Guide.
Cupertino, California - McLennan, who recently returned from the Cannes Film Festival where he attended as a member of the HP Influencer Advisory Board, has photographed in over 40 different countries during his 25 year career as one of the world's top travel photographers. It is knowledge and experience gained through these many years of commercial work that McLennan has used to launch an app that is a complete resource, packed full of content designed to help improve the photography skills of users worldwide.
With around 200 pages of text, photos, articles and practical advice, "PhotoTorial" is simple and easy to use with an active interface for navigation through the four different sections; Albums, Articles, Tutorial and Field Guide.
Image Albums - share in some of Chris's stunning photography from around the world plus find out how he took each shot, including camera settings and additional image info for every photo.
Articles - go behind the scenes with Chris and find out what makes a successful shoot.
Travel Photography Tutorial - an in-depth 30 page tutorial on how to become a professional travel photographer including how to start up and grow a business and the logistics of travel photography.
Pocket Field Guide - details the basics of photography from camera settings to shooting modes, composition, lighting and exposure. Illustrated examples make it easy to follow and show exactly how it is done.
Album Images are shown in full screen HD, while the Articles, Tutorial and Field Guide are all accessed via a PDF reader, allowing for thumbnail navigation and bookmarks within the documents.

Chris McLennan is a New Zealand based commercial photographer who specialises in travel, wildlife, and adventure photography. Recently announced as an Ambassador for top camera brand Nikon, Chris has worked on assignment in over 40 different countries for some of the biggest brands within the travel and tourism industries. His award winning work has been published worldwide, while his standing within the photographic community has been recognised through endorsement relationships with many of the top brands including Lowepro, Lexar, RadioPopper and Manfrotto. Not only is Chris an Ambassador for the Nikon brand, but he is also an Ambassador for computing brand HP, as well as a board member on the HP Influencer Advisory Board.
