Really? Is it restricted to 10 devices?
You don't even need a *large* family to get that much, if Mom & Dad & 1-2
kids each have their own phone, ipad, & perhaps a Touch or two among them, &
maybe even keep some of the older devices when they upgrade.
Me, I have 4 devices just for myself & use them all.

it's 5 computers and 10 iDevices. Not sure if you can go above the five
Computers.

Looking at iTunes, I see that only 5 computers can be linked to 1 account. I didn't know 10 I devices can be connected to 1 iTunes account. Is that besides the 5 computers?

Teach Siri To Interact With RememberTheMilk

With RememberTheMilk via TechCrunch by John Biggs on 10/19/11

This isn't a new trick – and you could probably use the same technique
to push reminders to any CalDAV-compliant system, but the folks at
to-do list makers RememberTheMilk have gotten reminders to pop up
automatically online.

The trick is to add RememberTheMilk as a CalDAV account. In Settings,
select Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Add a new Calendar and enter
rememberthemilk.com into the server field. Then type in your login and
password. Then add RememberTheMilk to your default accounts.

Now, when you create a reminder, the iPhone will push the reminder to
RememberTheMilk and store it locally. It's one way to skirt Apple's
current controls over the Siri API although its usefulness is fairly
limited right now.

iPhone gets its first native Google Music client

native Google Music client via 9to5Mac by Christian Zibreg on 10/19/11

If you're a fan of Google's music locker up in the skies, Interactive
Innovation Solutions has a handy app for you. Dubbed gMusic: A native
Google Music player, it's the only native iOS app so far allowing you
to access your Google Music account and stream up to 20,000 tracks. And
if the notion of paying $25 a year for the iTunes Match service isn't
appealing – and, you are willing to wait days, if not weeks, to upload
your music collection to the Google cloud – this is your go-to app.

It's got a two-step verification for your Google Account, lets you
create playlists on the go, is responsive, plays you music in the
background and more. And because it syncs with your Google Account, any
changes you make to your Music Beta account via the web interface
instantly appear on your device. gMusic: A native Google Music player
is a two bucks download from the App Store. To our Android-toting
friends, developer shared no detail about a possible Android version.
Worry not, your app store already offers an abundance of Google Music
clients.

Don't forget that Google also has its own (and free) HTML5-based web
app, with fewer features. The full features list and more screenies
after the break.

gMusic is the only native iOS app that lets you access your Google
Music account, which allows you to keep up to 20,000 of your favorite
songs in Google Music. Now you can listen to your entire music
collection without having to use any space on your iOS device.

gMusic features include:
– Very fast load times. Typically less than 10 seconds until you can
load and start
streaming your Music library.
After that the rest of your collection will trickle in.
– Create an Instant Playlist
– Add songs to existing playlists
– Search by Artist, Songs, Albums, or Genres
– Plays in the background so you can use your other apps while still
listening to your music
– Stay tuned for other great new features coming soon.

I bet iCloud constantly running is using up your battery. I found you can go to setup and icloud and turn off each item below it -mail/contacts/calendar/etc- for each it will ask you if you want to delete that item or keep it on your phone and do not check delete! Instead hit keep on phone (or whatever it says) Or you can shut off General - Network - Cellular Data in setup

Wouldn't it be nice if they sent every owner an email or had a page on their website explaining all of the new features and how to use them

From what I've seen, these things plug into the cigarette lighter, and the headphone jack. An FM station is dialed up on the transmitter and the radio, and then you can hear your iPhone through your car.

Why change now? Your iCloud will have your new me.com and your iTunes will have your AOL address.

speakerphone 4 vs 4s

Posted by: "Judy" BuffaloMT@roadrunner.com   claddidle

Wed Oct 19, 2011 5:38 pm (PDT)

I finally upgraded my 3G to the iPhone 4 when they released the 8 GB for 99$. I love everything about the phone, except the speakerphone. The quality of it is much worse than my old 3G. The 4 seems to pick up much more of the caller's background noise, making it difficult for me to hear the caller.

In addition, they can be hard to understand to me. Not all calls are this bad but some are, mobile calls are worse than landlines, but all are worse than my 3G. Can anyone tell me if the 4 has a bad speakerphone or does it seem like mine may be defective. I am also being told by them that I break up a lot when I am on speaker.

I am seriously thinking of returning the 4 and upgrading to the 4S if the speakerphone quality is much better on the 4S. I would rather not do that. Cost is a serious issue for me, that is the reason I went with the 4 in the first place, but I need a good speakerphone and the 4 is not doing that for me. Can anyone offer any imput? Thanks
Judy

Turn off Ping?

What is the setting to turn off ping?

Thanks. I'm still working on backing up all my stuff before I make more changes.
Should be able to upgrade software soon.

Backing up purchases from iTunes was actually easy and didn't take too long. It took about 8 cd's. I don't have tons of music stored like some do.

iPhone and iPad sync fine together. I read email on my iPad, then look at mail on my iPhone. Mail I've read and deleted on my iPad doesn't show up on my iPhone. Good deal :-) I go to my iMac and all my mail is there. All unread, nothing deleted. Any idea how to fix this?
