The would-be photographer aims the device at their intended subject and clicks the shutter, but they're in for a big surprise. The app switches from the iPhone's rear facing camera to the forward facing camera, and snaps a photo of the surprised user instead of their subject.
Halloween Trick-n-Treat 1.1 features include:

Getting the user to take their own picture is the trick, and the treat comes in the form of 5 playful Halloween-themed templates to dress up the photos. Users can frame their new photos inside of such familiar Halloween icons as the Grim Reaper, a black cat, a classic jack-o-lantern or a scary skeleton. The app supports push notifications and Facebook Connect, so users can post up their Halloween pics for the world to see, or send them to their friends.
When asked what his inspiration was for this new app, developer Egbert Oostburg replied: "The idea came while my youngest son was taking funny pictures of himself with the forward facing camera. As a proud dad who is always taking pictures of my family (four kids under the age of 11), I noticed that there weren't many pictures of me since I was the one consistently behind the Nikon or Flip camera. How cool would it be to get a candid shot of a person taking MY picture?!" The result was a fun and easy to use app that will keep users smiling all the way through the Halloween season.

Inspired by the Bible quote, "Be like newborn babies, always thirsty for the pure spiritual milk, so that by drinking it you may grow up and be saved," (1 Peter 2:2) scriptwriter Toni Matas and the Children's Bible team have created the Children's Bible Daily Prayer app to provide children and their families, teachers, and catechists with a daily sip of that spiritual milk that is the Word of God.
By providing a quote from the Bible and a question about it, Children's Prayer can be an ideal basis on which to begin a prayer or a dialogue with kids within the family, at school, or at catechism. The app allows users to review quotes from previous days to help foster greater understanding and the connection between quotes. Each daily quote is written on a large white card, and touching it spins the card around to the other side, revealing a question about the quote.
The prayers are grouped into a series, each of which has a themes used to select the Bible quote. Each series is introduced with a series card that displays a picture and a commentary on it. Sometimes, the series are focused on a theme and gather quotes from the entire Bible; for example, the series entitled "The Light." Other times, they include a sequence of verses from the same story; for example, in the series "The Good Shepherd." Each series has from seven to ten prayers, so each week a new series begins. An Internet connection is required only once per month to download the next series.

You might ask, so what's new? Well, actually a lot.
The amount of useful info and content in the app has been notably extended. There are 140+ new seat maps, making a total of 540+ (and growing). The number of airlines has been increased to 91. The highly-requested seat maps for United Airlines and British Airways have also been added.
Jets team has also succeeded in being the first to provide seatmaps & info for the forthcoming all-new Boeing-787 Dreamliner. All Nippon Airways will be the airline to carry out Dreamliner's debut passenger-flight from Narita (NRT) to Hong Kong (HKG) on October 26.
There are also several important improvements of the interface: the overall look and feel of all seat maps has been improved thanks to the new awesome graphic sprites included in the update. Flight search interface was re-designed in order to include a number of user-friendly features, while the search speed has almost tripled.
All aircraft lists now include passenger seat numbers and icons for each class, simplifying user navigation and the comparison to the information provided by airline booking systems.
Finally, Jets has greatly increased opportunities for user involvement. After processing tons of requests and notices for ver. 1.0 and 1.0.1 we have added an easy way for users to send feedback. Now Jets features a built-in user request and crash report system. Jets team believes users' reviews and reports will help to extend the application's database in a way our customers want.

"Got this on a day it was free, but it would be worth paying for. I run a haunted house at my home each year and there are some terrific samples in this app that I definitely will put to good use. The top row of sounds are background loops that can loop endlessly while the bottom four rows are sounds you can layer on top. You can have many sounds from the lower four rows playing at the same time making for some interesting and flexible audio choices. The top row can only be used one at a time, but that is all you would really want anyway so that's not an issue. There's some nice features such as the ability to adjust the pitch or to enable sounds when you shake your device. I only gave this app four stars instead of five because not all of the ambient sounds looped correctly and because this isn't a universal app which I think all apps should be at this point. Thank you for creating this brilliant app. I just got my iPhone and this is the best app I've bought. I've always meant to keep a diary of my hip pain and never remembered. Thus us do quick, simple and useful, I nearly always remember. The concept if how you record your pain is spot on and it is flexible in how you can use it. Virginia based CFI Tools today announces CFI Tools Takeoff Landing Distance 1.14, their latest in a popular line of iPhone and iPad Apps for the aviation industry. Takeoff Landing Distance allows pilots to easily calculate takeoff and landing distances for their airplane based on the current conditions for the flight. The App downloads the current weather conditions from the National Weather Service and combines it with airport and airplane data to make the calculations.
Herndon, Virginia - CFI Tools announced today the latest upgrade to their Takeoff & Landing App. This release continues CFI Tools' expansion in the smartphone aviation App industry. The T&L App allows pilots to easily calculate takeoff & landing distances for their airplane based on the current conditions for the flight.
To make this process easier the App downloads the current weather conditions from the National Weather Service (NWS) and combines it with airport and airplane data to make the calculations. This aviation weather data is known as a METAR and is the standard weather report supplied by thousands of airports worldwide.
Pilots are required by FAA regulation to calculate expected takeoff and landing distances for each flight. These calculations require current weather reports including temperature, wind direction and speed and air pressure. The T&L App gathers this information from internet sources as and uses it with generic guidance from airplane owner's handbooks to make the calculations. With this information it makes a useful training device for pilots who must make these calculations.
