Tara, when I cancel the sync in iTunes, that also just keeps going and going — a sort of Energizer bunny syndrome. My iPad seems to be okay now, so it would appear to be a problem only with my iPhone 4.

This discussion has been really addressed in the Apple Support Forum. Here
is the simple answer (at least in Xp):

Press the START button in the lower-left corner and bring up the menu. Click
on Run ... and type the word "command." This will bring you to the DOS
prompt. Type "CD\" to get to the root directory. Type the following three
words with a space in-between all: "netsh winsock reset." The system will
advise that the issue has been reset and tell you to restart your computer.
Do so.

Problem solved, works like a champ for me.

Good hunting - Jeff

I posted a couple of days ago requesting information from the group about a lost/stolen iPhone. Well, well, well, I put the word out and would you know that I got an email advising someone had located MY phone? In part because I had a very loud, hot pink Otter case.

Thank the Apples that be for small miracles amidst the worms!

App's Link To Email Freezes

3GS, iPhone OS 5.0, 32 GB.

I did an iTunes sync. Then, in several news apps, I touched the icon to send a link to the article that I was reading, and the iPhone froze when I touched the word Email. I did a power off, waited, then did a power on, and I still have the same problem.

Anyone else? Any ideas?

Alvin
