You can USE multiple Apple ID's on a singe machine; you can NOT, at this time, merge multiple ID's into one. This may be coming, no one knows when.

What about music you download to iTunes on a computer? I downloaded a song earlier on iTunes on my computer to see if it would transfer automatically to the iPhone. It did but now I can't delete the song from the iPhone. irritating.

How'd happen and more importantly how do I get them back?
I went to iTunes/ Advanced/ Get Album Artwork and sync'd - when that didn't work, I re-booted the phone and still no Album Covers.
Any ideas? Help?

My understanding is that sync over wifi works only when the iOS device is
externally powered. When you disconnected from your computer it is no longer
USB-powered.

So, what is the point of sync over wifi if you have to connect the device to
*something* anyway? You might as well connect using USB as before.

I've had more problems with the wifi sync than ive ever had since owning any iPhone. I've tried several things, none work.

I synced with wifi and it worked fine. Then I synced via iTunes a few days later on the pc. Ever since then, when I charge the phone at night, it tries to sync with icloud, but now says iCloud needs to confirm my password before backing up when I disconnect the phone from the docking station in the morning. Has done it every night I charge the phone since my itunes sync. How do I get iCloud to remember the password and not ask for it? I went into iCloud/Account on the phone and the password is there, so I'm not sure why it's asking for the password again.

I downloaded a song from iTunes on my computer and it went to my iPhone automatically. Now I can't get the song off my iPhone or the itunes program even if it's not selected to sync on the iTunes program. How do I remove it from the iPhone and iTunes?

Yes I don't want it. I tried deleting it from iTunes but it comes back when I sync to my phone because, I guess, it's still on my phone. How do I get rid of it permanently?

Hi Alice and all

I understand what would be voicemail...it is a somehow service from your carrier that may charge or not for it and we have it here in Brazil and many other countries too but it is usually a paid service, well at least you will be charged to call to the mailbox to check the messages if it is the case and besides that the message after a certain time is deleted.

I was looking for an app just like a home answering machine, that would playback a message right from your phone when someone calls and store the caller´s message on the phone too, as many nokia cheaper phones do and landline based home phones do also...The iphone has everything for it, if Apple ever allows it, to be a great success.

There is a difference between visual voicemail and regular voicemail. Visual voicemail shows all your voicemails on your screen so you can choose which ones you want to listen to and in what order. You can either delete or keep the message or play just the part you want by using the scroll bar.

Regular voicemail you call into your provider, put in your pass code and your messages come up in the order they were sent. you then listen to the menu of options to know what to press on your keypad to delete, store relies ten etc to your messages.

Apple does allow it. That feature is built right into the iPhone as I said!

But you need to check with your cell phone provider to see if they support visual voicemail. Then pay for the service and you have it.

There will not be an app for it since Apple has the feature built into the phone.

Rod, Using iTunes Power Search I typed in Call Recorder. It pulled up 10 or
12 apps that say they will do what you are asking for. Some are free and
some are not. I didn't try any of them. Brent

Hi

Thanks, but I´ve checked them...Most of them record the call and store it in some internet server "God knows where" then you have to pay by the minute to listen to the recordings or something...please!

Just one that I noticed, seems to record the calls on the device but you have to go thru menus and typing codes to start a recording...too complicated and time consuming...

It is just amazing no one has ever made a simple call recorder for a so popular cell phone full of media capabilities...This kind of thing has been around for decades on other cell phones...

I wish I had the patience to develop those two...a real call recorder and a answering machine...all on board...I would be rich!!

- Looking up Google Maps directions (to a hospital)
- How to do something (tying a bow tie)
- Checking the weather
- Location-based reminders
- Playing music from the iPhone music application
- Setting up alarm clocks
- Sending text messages
Update: Official upload from Apple hit the web, below Thanks, Russ!

On iOS 5 messages are sent from iPhone to iPhone as data and do not use your
message plan. Messages from non iPhone are sent to you as SMS. Do you have a
message plan on your phone? If you do you need to call your carrier and get
them to check their setting on your account.

I'm new on here so excuse if this has already been asked. It is at the
moment beyond me how to send a ring tone to my phone. I found some
directions but can't seem to make them work for me, any help would be gladly
received.
