Re: iOS 5 work with Win XP serv 3

I can understand a little bit of waiting to upgrade- I usually waited a week or two both to see if others would have problems with it (let the bugs get worked put), and to allow for faster downloading (my Internet connection is slow as it is, adding a clogged server to matters is an invitation for frustration). This time I got upgraded last Friday- I bought the 4s the day it came out (my 4 was stolen on a train last month, and going back to my 3Gs was frustrating and disappointing).

He could lower his text plan if he'd upgrade. He complains about notifications getting in the way when he's doing stuff on his phone. The banner notifications in iOS 5 don't get in the way. He said the wifi syncing would get him to sync more too. He's already upgraded his computer to 10.7.2 and upgraded his iTunes. He said everything is working fine.

Tap on photo and save then you can import, email to yourself or will
populate if using iCloud.

Click on the pic...save to camera roll...then sync to computer.
Either that or email it to yourself, retrieve from email and save it to your computer.

I tried to upload photos not sure what happened they copied! I now have over 4000 on the iPhone how can I delete faster then one by one without a computer?
Thanks!

Do you have a 3Gs or 4? You should be able to go into your picture roll. From there delete multiple copies. If you hit the curve arrow on the left hand side at the bottom

Tap the button in the upper right corner, then start tapping the pictures you want to delete. You should get a chec mark on each picture you tap. Tap the red delete button in the bottom right corner to delete the checked pictures.

This can't be done with the photo stream pictures though, correct? I only get a delete button on my camera roll.

When you hit the arrow. Does three options show up? One being delete. If It does then click on the pictures you want deleted. If that doesn't work. Connect your iPhone to your computer. Once it shows up go into the hard drive and delete from there.

I'm on iOS 5 but I think this was the same before my upgrade.

If I tap on Camera Roll, Albums, I get a display of all the images on the "Camera Roll".
In the top right corner is a rectangle with a curved arrow coming out of it.

After I tap on that, I can then tap on multiple images, then select Delete at the bottom to delete all of the selected images.

It will still be tedious, but a lot less tedious than "one image - delete - one image - delete ..."

Never-ending sync

Im using Lion 7.2, iOS 5 and am not yet on iCloud. I enabled wifi sync on my iPhone 4 (not 4s) last week but havent yet done much with it; Im rarely plugged in at home and do most of my charging in the car.

This afternoon I decided to do a manual sync, so I plugged in and told the iPhone to do a wifi sync. It wouldnt stop! I get stuck on step 7 (genius stuff I dont use genius playlists), and it never finishes. In fact, when I finally cancelled the sync, that wouldnt stop, either. So much for a quick sync before going out for the evening. :S I finally had to just unplug the phone.

At that point, I turned the phone completely off (top button and home button) and restarted, then tried the sync again. Same story.

Does anyone have any idea what to do to get this back to working correctly that is, syncing in the few minutes it used to take? Thanks!

The longer the time between syncs the longer the actual sync operation is likely to take.
Wireless may be more convenient, but wired is likely to be faster.

Likely an office firewall that prevents connection to the servers Siri uses.

Running a 4. Just did my update. I don't see Siri. Doesn't it automatically come with the update to 5?

Tks!

No it's not in iOS 5. It's built into iPhone 4S for now.

Sending email on AT&T network using AT&T servers

I'm on AT&T...iirc on os4 I thought I had an option to set AT&T servers as a secondary smtp server. Seems like I've lost that.

Am I missing/forgetting something?
