What will be deleted from my iPhone if I switch off Documents & Data

If you move the switch against Documents & Data in Settings/iCloud from ON to OFF, you get a warning message saying "All Documents & Data stored in iCloud will be deleted from this iPhone." Does anybody know what I will lose on my phone if I do this?

This is what I dislike about iTunes--every time I tell it not to sync a category, it warns me that it's going to hose whatever is on my phone. There never seems to be a choice that says, "just leave it as it is." That's why I avoid syncing.

I heard somewhere that you can make a new folder from mail on your iOS device. Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance

I recommend downloading the manual. You can then read it on your computer or
on the iOS device under iBooks.
<http://support.apple.com/manuals/#iphone>

You can also read it online using using the iPhone User Guide bookmark in
Safari.

Thank you. That was very easy after reading manual. Maybe I should read the whole thing. Lots of hidden features

What is the setting to turn off ping?

Thanks. I'm still working on backing up all my stuff before I make more changes.
Should be able to upgrade software soon.

Backing up purchases from iTunes was actually easy and didn't take too long. It took about 8 cd's. I don't have tons of music stored like some do.

Where are my downloads?

I downloaded a dozen audio and video podcasts from the iTunes store. I can't find them. Where are they listed? How can I get them onto my iPhone?

Details: I did this by clicking the bar on the right hand column that says FREE.  I saw the little arrow circling on the left pane (by Store and Devices). I also saw each message title appear at the top of the screen with the familiar download progress bar slowly going to completion. SO...I've poked around and can't find these messages.

Have you done a search in iTunes? I believe they should be stored in the Podcast section. When you connect to iTunes does it do an auto sync?

My first comment was for finding them on your iphone. I assumed that you downloaded using your mobile device. If not and you did this download in iTunes, then you can select the PODCAST label in the left hand column of iTunes and you should see the podcasts listed in the right hand column under "podcast".

To sync with your iphone or ipad you will need to connect your device, select your device in the left hand column and then click on the podcast across the top of itunes window and then select those podcasts you wish to sync. All or selectively. Then push the sync button to sync them to your device.

my childs itunes account

I have a question. My child is in the marine corp and he has an iTune
account but no wifi. There is a couple books and tv shows he wants.

Is there anyway I can log into his itunes account and download them?

Next question. How can he then put these books on his iPhone 4 where he is?

Well I think he would still have to get to where he could update the new information. So I believe you would still need some type of internet connections. I would think that you could update and dowload the shows, but you might need internet service. To update and pull from the server the new information.

Its a 2 step process.

You could log into his acct from itunes on your local machine, buy the product and have it in his account.

Then HE would need to get it onto his phone.
That would need a wireless (cellular or WiFi) connection or wired to get it to the phone. If he had access to a computer there with itunes he could sign in there and sync his phone. In theory of course.. Anybody else have any suggestions?

I wonder if Apple doesn't have some sort of special arrangement for deployed
military, possibly through the USO, PX or something. There must be *plenty*
of them needing such services.

I believe he could check under updates or purchases on his device and download directly from his device. If he has wifi then it would be best to use for this download rather than using a 3G connection that would go against his data download services. If he is overseas that could be expensive. Wifi would be best way to download from the "purchases" directly to his device.

I'm about to try it now...I'm going to have my friend log in with my account. Download a podcast and see when I log in will it show. I'm going to try without internet connection. Since her son doesn't have access to internet. Does his phone not have internet access?? I'm assuming he is somewhere his phone can't pull internet access.

Installing a new radio in your car (since FM transmitters don't

Posted by: "cocosolobaby" elisamalo@yahoo.com   cocosolobaby

From what people have said on a previous thread about FM transmitters,
it appears there is no FM transmitter that works w/out hissing, buzzing,
falling out of station/tuning etc.

For those of you who got a new radio installed in your car instead of
using an FM transmitter:

(1) Approximately how much did the entire process cost (parts/labor)?

(2) I have a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. I also have XM Radio. I would
need a CD/Radio/XM Radio tuner where I can plug in my iPhone and listen
to music. Is the cost for a tuner that is ALSO XM Radio capable just
crazy expensive?

If you are running iTunes 10.5 and have successfully installed iOS 5, there is but a single box to check in iTunes to set up Wi-Fi Sync. First, connect your device via USB (one last time) to your Mac or PC. Next, click on the device's name in the left-hand column of iTunes. Make sure Summary is selected from the row of menu items along the top of iTunes and scroll down until you see Options. Check the box for the second option listed, "Sync this iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch over Wi-Fi" and click the Apply button in the lower-right corner.

Hello Allan,
You better connect with cable. I think you have choose for to sync with computer.
For windows use Apple a beta version. A friend of me can't sync with cable because of this beta software.

When you have Gmail as iTunes-account it is only to connect to all bought apps, ebooks , music and movies. Apple can't disconnect the Gmail and connect to @me.com-account.
Just use the new @me.com to send emails.
