Real Racing 2 is 40% off for a Limited Time Posted: 19 Oct 2011 04:00 PM PDT Real Racing 2 is arguably one of the most popular racing titles on the iOS platform. The folks over at Firemint work hard to ensure that the game stays ahead of the competition with cutting edge technology. Take its recent Party Play update for example. Using iOS 5′s AirPlay mirroring feature, Real Racing 2 allows up to 4 users to connect to an Apple TV and race in split screen mode. The result is an almost console-like racing experience, and it just got a lot less expensive to join in on the fun…(...) The First Google Music App is Now Available in the App Store Posted: 19 Oct 2011 02:15 PM PDT Remember Google Music? Back in May, Google unveiled a beta version of its cloud-based music service that allows users to upload up to 20,000 songs to its servers. Users can then access that music from almost any device with a web connection. A major downside to the service though is that it hasn’t had a native iOS app. It’s had a web app of sorts, but never an actual application. Until now. Macgasm is reporting that gMusic, a native Google Music app, has just surfaced in the App Store…(...) Workaround Adds Siri Support to Remember the Milk Posted: 19 Oct 2011 12:30 PM PDT Siri is obviously the breakout feature in Apple’s latest handset. Love it or hate it, you can’t deny that it’s a crowd pleaser (when the servers up). Even the critics that say that the system is too limited right now, agree that Siri has some great potential. The potential lies with third party developers. Currently Siri can’t launch apps or perform tasks inside third party applications, but it’s coming. And the folks behind the popular task manager Remember The Milk are leading the way…(...) "Workaround Adds Siri Support to Remember the Milk" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. Facebook Messenger Now Available Everywhere Posted: 19 Oct 2011 10:56 AM PDT Facebook Messenger has quickly become one of my favorite apps for the iPhone. Before Apple released iOS 5 and iMessage to the public, Facebook Messenger was my client of choice to communicate with my friends scattered around the world. The problem was that most of my friends overseas couldn’t use the application. It seems that this is not an issue anymore, as Facebook has brought support for 12 additional languages, and is releasing the app in many more countries…(...) How Apple Improved the iPhone 4S Location Feature Posted: 19 Oct 2011 10:20 AM PDT Right before Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S on October 4th, The Next Web published a story where they claimed the new iPhone would have “more definitive GPS features.” Turns out they were right, even though it hasn’t been officially confirmed. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but location services on the iPhone 4S are sharper than ever. That’s because Apple added support for some Russian technology to the mix…(...) Apple Releases Apple TV 4.4.1 Update… Again Posted: 19 Oct 2011 09:20 AM PDT Yesterday we reported that Apple had released iOS 4.4.1 for the Apple TV. Unfortunately, minutes after pushing the update, many users reported that the new software was actually “bricking” their device, which let Apple to pull the plug and stop the release of 4.4.1. It seems that Apple has fixed the issue and has started pushing iOS 4.4.1 for Apple TV again late last night…(...) "Apple Releases Apple TV 4.4.1 Update… Again" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. Oddly enough, C Spire Wireless, formerly known as Cellular South, will be launching Apple’s next smartphone soon. C Spire will join AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint as an iPhone partner in the US. T-Mobile remains left out in the cold…(...) "Meet the Fourth US Carrier for the iPhone 4S" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. Make sure to follow us on Twitter and friend us on Facebook. |
Apple: iPhone Rumors Negatively Affect Our Sales Posted: 19 Oct 2011 08:15 AM PDT Apple held a conference call yesterday, shortly after announcing its Q4 financial results. The results made interesting reading, with Apple falling just short of the expected revenue figure of $29.41 billion, making a not-inconsiderable $28.3 billion instead. The iPhone sold just 17.1 million units against the expected 22 million. But why such a difference between the two numbers, when the iPhone usually sells so strongly? According to Apple Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer, the rumor mill is to blame…(...) "Apple: iPhone Rumors Negatively Affect Our Sales" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com.
