Syncing Messages on the 3gs using POP

Hi, I have the iphone 3gs, model MC131B running version 5.0.1software.
ITunes 10 (10.5.1.42)
I have set ITunes to sync mail accounts, but can I get it to sync the
messages with my computer?
At the moment I read the email on my iphone in the evening but they reappear
on my computer in the morning.
Yes I am using POP not IMAP

Barry,
I mis-read your previous post. I don't sync my Mail accounts through iTunes, so disregard what I previously said. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you.
My apologies.
I chose not to sync mine because I have an extensive series of folders under On My Mac and an extensive bunch of rules to put them in the folders, and I did not want to take the time to either duplicate that in iCloud or totally re-do it . I only read a few of my email accounts on my iPhone. Otherwise I would never get any work done.

Recording lectures with an iPhone?
Posted by: "Betsy Schwartz" betsys@gmail.com betsys99

I just bought a couple of "Chill Pill Rap Cap" microphones for my iPhone.
They were a whopping $2.98 each from SFPlanet via Amazon.com .
I am very impressed at how well they work from a distance.
I may use them to tape some lectures next week.
What's the best software? I want to record
some lectures and not have the recording shut off when something beeps
or buzzes. I will probably use my old 3GS that doesn't have phone
service, at least, but I'd want to leave them it at the desk unattended.

Apple now sells iPhones that work on three of the top four national US
mobile carriers. Here's a look at how well you can expect Apple's
latest smartphones to work on each of these mobile data networks, based
on real world testing of each carrier's data throughput.

Technically the 4S is capable of it but requires it to be unlocked.

Technically, it is an Apple ID.
You can have more than one Apple ID, and one of the uses is for a me.com email account. I also have another for iTunes purchases and Developers Connection.
Do you have to have an me.com email account? No.
Benefit of having one. Well, since it is free, has not connection to my current ISP and it has been around for a few years, I use it as a "permenant" e-ddress to give to those who I don't correspond to often, amount other uses.
Nice Moon hubcaps on your iPhone. Must have been hard to find. When you find the laker pipes, let me know. :0)

Re: Organizing files on iPhone/iPad

Leif, thanks very much for explaining how to rename folders. Now I can keep
all my French apps together, Starbucks apps, dog apps, dictionaries, games,
etc, etc. And it's so much easier to find them!!!
Now if there were only a way to automatically have the folders line up in
alphabetic order, or some logical order. But I can definitely live with
this.
Thanks again,
Carol
You can rename folders, but not apps. Open a folder and tap the X next
to the name to rename it.
