A unique feature to Boat Watch is an automatic alert for users when a ship they are tracking launches from or arrives at port. Wales, United Kingdom - Pocket Mariner, developer of nautical apps for boating enthusiasts, has launched its newest app, Boat Watch. With Boat Watch on an iPhone, iPad or iPod, sailors can spot boats and ships and follow them on a real-time, high-definition map regardless of their location.
A unique feature to Boat Watch is an automatic alert for users when a ship they are tracking launches from or arrives at port. This feature, available through an optional add-on purchase (US$2.99), is ideal for people with loved ones at sea, for tracking ferries and rescue vessels, or following cargo across the world.
"A great use of this feature is tracking a favorite local lifeboat or Coast Guard ship," said Steve Bennett, CEO of Pocket Mariner. "By marking a vessel as a favorite, you'll get automatic alerts when it launches and then follow its mission live on Boat Watch. I have actually used it to track a lifeboat and seen it rescue a man overboard, which was really exciting."
Two other features unique to Boat Watch are its fully-gimballed compass mode, enabling boaters to ensure they are looking in the right direction to spot or identify boats and ships and its support for AIS Search and Rescue Transponders (SART), showing their location and emergency message.

"This tropical island isn't a paradise for Cocky the parrot," said Michael Tauber, Managing Director of Green Room Group. "All he wants to do is flee the island and escape the dangerous traps set for him and rocks hurled at him by a conniving rat and snake. You'll need a sense of adventure, careful strategy and quick reflexes if you want to win Freedom Flights and help Cocky get home."
With five levels of difficulty, Freedom Flights is easy to learn and offers a continuous challenge for all levels of gamers. Players control Cocky's adventures by directing his movement with tilts of the iPhone or iPad. Moving the device up or down, players can guide Cocky higher or lower in flight and with their finger players can launch Cocky off the sand dune and into the air and defend against rat and snake.
As Cocky attempts to escape the island, he faces down obstacles such as the wily rat and snake and earns coconuts to shop for transportation to aid his journey. Sure to make the most serious gamer smile, the tiered transportation options for Cocky the parrot include skis, a dune buggy, helicopter, sailboat, hydrofoil, jet pack, even a stealth drone bomber and much much more.
Players can also help Cocky earn points and medals for excellent jumps. The faster and farther he flies, the more points a player earns. As players accumulate rewards, they can use them to provide Cocky with access to magical powers that help him fly faster, defy gravity and weaken the most ingenious traps. These powers can even be used to take one day off the player's tally.
Ready to appeal to any taste and enliven play, Freedom Flights features a choice of rap, rock and pop music selections. The stunning island scenery can also change from day to night for a change of pace or an extra challenge.

BearExtender 1200 is a high-powered 1200mW receiver for the long-range 2.4 GHz 802.11n band, available for pre-order today (ships August 15). It features up to 70% more power than the original BearExtender, an upgraded high gain 5 dBi antenna and a new high sensitivity receiver.
BearExtender Turbo is a high-speed 802.11ac receiver shipping in October. It features a maximum throughput speed of 867 Mbps that is up to three times faster than modern 802.11n equipped Macs. It also features USB 3.0 connectivity, OS X Mavericks compatibility and dual upgradable antennas.
"After the success of our first BearExtender (2009) and BearExtender Mini (2012), both which received 4 out of 5 Mice ratings from MacWorld Magazine, we knew we had to deliver even more range for BearExtender 1200," said Roland Saekow, head of product development at BearExtender.
Based on 3rd generation BearExtender technology, BearExtender 1200 has 70% more power than the original 2009 BearExtender, but still has the same low price that made the original version popular with students, members of US armed forces stationed abroad, and Mac users worldwide.
BearExtender 1200 continues the company's commitment to innovation of the long range 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi band, which is more commonly used in residential areas, campuses, and travel destinations like hotels.
Higher frequencies such as the 5 Ghz band can offer faster speeds but have significantly shorter range due to the physical properties of 5 Ghz waves. Higher frequencies do not penetrate well through solid objects like walls.
In October, BearExtender Turbo will bring 802.11ac compatibility to the Mac operating system, with throughput speeds of up to 867 Mbps on the 5 Ghz band.

Forever the Sickest Kids (Master Blaster Runner 3000) - Take control of Jonathan, Caleb, Austin and Kyle on their never-ending rooftop runner! Collect music notes to unlock cool upgrades and keep the music going! Jump high and wide but avoid those pesky construction equipment.
T. Mills (Trailin' Travis) - An endless runner set in the streets of Riverside, CA, where rabid fan-girls are chasing you, T. Mills, thrillionaire playboy. You collect coins and high-flying brownies while jumping, ducking and swerving to avoid roadblocks.
Allstar Weekend (Restaurant) - Help Zach, Cameron and Mike satisfy their insatiable hunger for nachos, burritos and tacos, but watch out for those hot peppers! Catch flying food like a ninja, grab power-ups like soda and energy drinks, and get higher scores!
August 8: Mayday Parade (Face Off) - Take control of the guys from Mayday Parade and fight your way through endless waves of faceless men - all teeming with a taste for the souls of Derek, Jeremy, Alex, Jake, and Brooks. Use various weapons to tear apart the mindless droves while combing the zones for soul jars to advance in Mayday Parade's quest to exterminate the faceless from the planet.
August 15: Hopsin (Skate Madness) - No skateboarding allowed! Say's who? Well, apparently the natives are restless when Hopsin tries to find a nice peaceful jungle to skate in. Help him escape the evil monkeys and snag up some fruit snacks on the way to unlock new abilities!
August 22: Senses Fail (Grindcore) - It's time to grab your board and hit the pavement with your favorite post-hardcore rock stars! Join Buddy, Matt, Dan and Zack and unleash your best tricks and sickest jumps in this skateboarding platformer that will always keep you trying to beat your highest score!
August 29: Miss May I (Rumble) - Brawl your way through an onslaught of endless enemies determined to stop the rock! Pick your favorite MMI member and earn points to upgrade your skills and become the toughest brawler around!
