Or the UPS. That might actually be cheaper. Stores often have them as loss leaders, whereas you'll have to pay list price on a battery. Furthermore, you will be getting a more modern unit. Also, you don't REALLY know that the battery is the problem. Could be something else in the UPS.

If you need new batteries for your UPS, this place has great prices and good quality:

Actually, according to "Take Control of Your Airport Network (v 3.1 of the excellent book) support for the "Guest Network" came in with the 3rd Pizza Box version (I had version 2).

I brought back my non-user-configurable Comcast-throttled Internet Gateway this afternoon and made it claer to the reps that I'd done so because I didn't have access to the web configuration utility embedded in the retail versions, planning to continue using my previous Comcast DOCSIS 2 modem until the new (not crippled by Comcast) cable modem I just purchased on amazon arrived.

About an hour after I came home later this afternoon, I suddenly lost internet connectivity. First clue what had happened? I didn't change any setup to make this happen. Still, since I'd changed routers, I didn't trust my instincts that I'd not caused this, so tried putting my old Airport Extreme back in service, rebooted the router and cable modem multiple times, made use of Aiport Utility and Network Preferences as diagnostic tools, but couldn't reestablish connectivity.

After Comcast dropped one call to 1-800-comcast and didn't call back despite asking for my phone number for just that purpose, then waiting on hold for 30 minutes for another support technician, they told me that I'd lost connectivity because I had a "new" modem that had to be "activated" by them (translation: they'd disabled my modem from their end! The tech had the audacity to end the call with "you have a wonderful evening."

The worst offender, in my view, as far as not following HTML standards is concerned, is Internet Exploder. Each of the web based applications I use that's coded specifically for this program has broken with each integer upgrade of the browswer. It's become less of a problem in the last two revisions, but it's a pain nevertheless.

Macworld has a nice article about the new features coming in OS X Mavericks, including hands-on experience.
