Major iPhone 4S Details Leaked in Latest iTunes Beta Posted: 01 Oct 2011 02:12 PM PDT It appears that any hope left of Apple unveiling a totally redesigned handset next week just floated out the window. As it has done several times, 9to5Mac just uncovered some juicy information hidden within Apple’s software. The find comes from the latest version of iTunes beta, which Apple seeded to developers yesterday afternoon. The music software references two new models of Apple’s smartphone, the black iPhone 4S and the white iPhone 4S…(...) How to See if You’re Eligible for an iPhone Upgrade Posted: 01 Oct 2011 12:00 PM PDT You’ve heard that a new iPhone is coming out, and you want to see if you’re eligible for an upgrade with your carrier. For those that don’t buy off contract, early upgrade fees can be extremely expensive for smartphones like the iPhone. Here’s how to see if you’re eligible for an iPhone upgrade…(...) "How to See if You’re Eligible for an iPhone Upgrade" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. The Reason We Still Don’t Have a Facebook iPad App Posted: 01 Oct 2011 11:00 AM PDT Mashable posted an article yesterday that tells an interesting story about the relationship between Apple and Facebook. Although the two companies are expected to make a joint announcement next Tuesday, things haven’t always been peachy. This is perhaps most obvious in the noticeable absence of a native Facebook app for Apple’s tablet. Facebook’s iPad app has reportedly been ready for several months, but we’ve yet to see an official release. Before his retirement, Steve Jobs was personally involved in negotiations with Facebook…(...) "The Reason We Still Don’t Have a Facebook iPad App" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com. Adobe to Hold Special Event During Apple’s iPhone Keynote on Tuesday Posted: 01 Oct 2011 10:00 AM PDT Are you going to be following Tuesday’s special event? I’m not talking about the upcoming iPhone announcement – who cares about that? I’m talking about the other special event. The one held by Adobe at 10am, where the company is supposed to announce new user experiences both in the browser and in apps. It is unclear who chose the date and time first, but one thing is sure: I doubt many people will be following Adobe’s announcement while Apple is unveiling its next iPhone…(...) Apple iDevices Make More Money Than All of Microsoft’s Products Put Together Posted: 01 Oct 2011 09:00 AM PDT Asymco has released a report that compares Apple’s and Microsoft’s financial earnings. Asymco’s Horace Dediu compares product revenue from both companies to determine who has better financial performance. Microsoft has its mind-boggling array of Windows products, along with multiple enterprise solutions. And there’s of course Windows Phone 7. Apple has all of its ‘i’ hardware, software, percentage cuts from the iTunes store, Mac sales, and peripherals. So, who is the victor in the battle for revenue? You guessed it…(...) ‘F.lux’ Helps Prevent Eyestrain When Using Your iPhone at Night Posted: 01 Oct 2011 07:00 AM PDT It’s been a long time coming, but one of my favorite OS X utilities has made its way to iOS. Indeed, f.lux just appeared on the iPhone, but not via the conventional App Store method. f.lux is a handy utility that automatically adjusts the color temperature of your screen, resulting in significantly reduced eye-strain. Unfortunately, due to the nature of f.lux, it pretty much has no chance of ever appearing on the official App Store. Thankfully, the team behind this excellent tweak has found refuge on Cydia…(...) If Only the iPhone 4S is Expected Next Week, What’s With All of These Cases? Posted: 01 Oct 2011 05:00 AM PDT Apple’s iPhone event is just a few days away, and after months of rumors, we’re still unsure of what to expect. Since March, there has been speculation that the Cupertino company would be unveiling multiple handsets this year. Over the last few weeks, the two-phone theory has largely dropped out of the conversation. A majority of the tech world now seems to think that we’ll only see one iPhone model next week: the 4S. But what about all of these iPhone 5 cases still floating around?(...) "If Only the iPhone 4S is Expected Next Week, What’s With All of These Cases?" is an article by iDownloadBlog.com.
