4 and 4S do; 3G and 3GS do not.

You could possibly use a password program like LastPass, which contains a secure notes section.

Hi, Use Splash ID Safe - it is a database that is encrypted on the phone and
there is a desktop companion that wirelessly syncs to move items back and
forth encrypted during transfer. I have not done documents with it but for
each record (which is fully customizable) there is a field for notes and
also ability to attach documents. Not sure how it works though as I have
not had a need to use it. Check it out.

Reminds me of this story. If it has ever really happened, it must be
some 40 years ago:

A professor got tired of telling his thing in front of those
uninterested students. He had a tape recorder play his prerecorded
lectures back.
After a while, he peeked to see how the students reacted. - No
students, just tape recorders...

I don't think they use that brand, but they do use a very hard glass.
I carries an iPhone 3 in my pocet without screen protector and
without babying it for years and netted two very small scratches. New
ones should be even better. My 4s has a bumper case, no screen
protection.

Missed SMS Tone Repeating

Am I losing my mind or isn't there a setting to make the missed SMS tones
repeat every 5 minutes or something? I could have sworn this was
introduced in iOS 3.x or iOS 4.x and I can not find it to save my life.

Hi Bill,

It's in the Settings:Notifications:Messages. Scroll down to bottom where it says to repeat alert,

address book sync

When I input new address data in my address book on my mac then sync to my iPhone, it doesn't transfer the new entries.

It only happened lately. Used to sync properly.

My iPhone also now has double entries of contacts. How did that happen?

Anyone have the same problem? What should I do?

Consumer Reports ranks AT&T as lowest again in satisfaction survey

Consumer Reports ranks AT&T as lowest again in satisfaction survey

By Rachel King | December 6, 2011, 9:28am PST

Summary: AT&T can't catch a break, but maybe the telecommunications provider only has itself to blame.

Once again, AT&T has proven to be somewhat of a disappointment to consumers, according to Consumer Reports.

The publication's annual satisfaction survey found that AT&T was ranked at the bottom of the major mobile carriers in the United States. Interestingly, a lesser-known provider, Consumer Cellular, proved to be the most satisfying to customers.

The survey is based upon the responses from more than 66,000 subscribers of Consumer Reports with carrier ratings for 22 metropolitan markets. Poll participants were asked to rate service and the customer support experience with both standard and no-contract cell phone providers.

When it comes to the top tier domestic mobile providers, Verizon topped the charts, and Sprint reportedly followed. T-Mobile didn't do as well, but at least it fared better than AT&T.

One could argue that AT&T can't seem to catch a break lately. First, it has encountered enormous hurdles as of late in its now beleaguered bid to buyout T-Mobile for the purpose of expanding its own 4G network, which might actually be useful to some customers.

Nevertheless, opponents such as Sprint would argue that move isn't necessary, and that AT&T needs to dig deeper to fix itself.

Based on the fact that AT&T has been at the bottom of the polls at least two years in a row, the telecommunications company really only has itself to blame at this point.

They sure didn't ask me. I am an AT&T fan. Service where I am and for
hundreds of miles around are better than any of the others. Service at the
AT&T store have always be outstanding also.

Same for me. This was a small survey. I have read where Sprint is having growing pains from a surge of IPhone customers and can't handle demand on data. I hardly think T-Mobile has the coverage of AT&T for that matter.

Cell service with AT&T, for me, is great. I can say, their customer service sucks in my area. They don't know about iPhones. I tell people to get their Apple products wherever BUT when having trouble, go to Apple.

"This was a small survey"

I didn't see this one but saw previous years and it's a very large
survey, of their readers. Looks like 66,000 people this year.

AT&T is always low, Verizon always high. But the survey is nationwide
and individual experiences and certain areas will have different
results.

I'm with those who said AT&T works well. I have very, very few
problems (in San Jose, CA area).

I've had AT&T for the past 10 years at least. Their customer service is amazing in fact, that it's hard to believe this report. Meanwhile I hear so many people complain about Verizon and Sprint customer service. I had T-Mobile before and also loved their service.

Customer service is so subjective one can't really believe the reports. I think a lot of customer service complaints have to do with things the reps have no control over. I'd like to know what some of the customer complaints are and what segment of people are making the complaints.
