Yes. Sad. But what a legacy!
So....definitely mourn the loss, but let's not forget his legacy.

He was so great at TIMING!! Damnit...!
I don't think Apple will ever go down. He left a team of wonderful, great people to run the company.
We lifted Irish coffees here in the memory of a great visionary. He loved the "Crazy Ones", The "Square Pegs", Those of us who never really 'fit in' with the norm and created a place in which I have been proud to be a part of for almost 7 years.
I never got to meet this man, but am crying like a baby right now, even though I know he is in a much brighter, better place now. I share in the loss of this fine gentleman.

I wish i had, and I, a 60-year-old physician and Apple dedicant since 1992, will cry as well when it all sinks in. I have offered private prayers for his family, both natural and Apple-based, and pray also that he is at peace in that better place. My son just sent me a text (from his iPhone 3GS to my 4) to tell me that on the Internet he had seen thanks that, with only admiration and respect, Mr. Jobs was now in his unique place among the iClouds.

Steve Jobs hung on just long enough to be sure Tim Cook did well for his first product intro with the iPhone 4S.
His wealth wasn't enough to buy his health. He struggled with pancreatic cancer which is the nastiest of them all. My dad died from it 6 years ago.
RIP Steve Jobs. I am also very sad now. It feels like the loss of a family member. I admired that man immensely!

I'll never forget back in 1984, the Macintosh 512, with its iddy-
bitty 9" screen. That little guy changed my industry (printing)
forever. I still have it and it still works! But that's what Apple
is known for... making things that work and work well.
There's always been a love / hate relationship between Mac and
Windows. Bill Gates said:
"I'm truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs' death. Melinda and I
extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to
everyone Steve has touched through his work. Steve and I first met
nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and
friends over the course of more than half our lives. The world rarely
sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the
effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. For those
of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely
great honor. I will miss Steve immensely."
This is a truly sad day in my field, and in my heart. Had one of the
first (and many since) Mac's--its what I'm typing this on, had the
first (and all since) iPhones [and I'm getting the 4s], and I guess
that I'll always be what's called an "Apple fanboy".
I pray for the Jobs' family, for their care, comfort, and peace; and
I am thankful that people around the world are able to enjoy the
products of his visions.
A remarkable man that the world will miss.
I am with you Dr. Dick and Wyldceltic1... lifting a cup-o-joe up to
Mr. Jobs. And Doc, what you said about the special place in the
iClouds is priceless!
God Bless You All!

They do, but it's limited in functionality. Even if the dev wanted to
truly multitask SFD, they couldn't because Apple doesn't allow it.

Personally. I am thrilled with my I4. And will wait to hear more compelling reasons to upgrade

My first Apple was an Apple II+. I remember paying somewhere around $2,500 for it. I remember buying 2 floppy drives so I could copy files from one to the other. Of course the hard drive hadnt been invented yet. I kept my Ham Radio logs on it. Don't remember the year but it was brand new technology at the time.

iPhone 4 Pics: WAS What Do iPhone 4S Pictures Look Like?
Posted by: "Richard E Johnson, MD" RECMSOJ@OnlineOK.com recmsoj
Wed Oct 5, 2011 8:03 pm (PDT)
Speaking of iPhone 4S pics, and I only bought my 3GS --> 4 upgrade a few months ago, can I take a picture of myself (or anything) with the front camera or only the rear? Self-portraits for Apple IDs and other websites would be so much easier (and accurate) if I could.
Thanks,
Dick
