New York, New York - Toughturtle LLC is excited to announce the launch of Safe Eats NYC, an iOS application that gives users a quick and intuitive way to view the sanitation and inspection records of restaurants, or eateries, nearby. With a constantly updated database of all the 24,000 New York City eateries throughout the five boroughs, Safe Eats NYC gives the user invaluable information about which establishments to steer clear of when they are looking for a place to eat.
"This is not another 'find a restaurant near me' App. Safe Eats NYC is all about knowing which restaurants should be avoided," said Todd Barnes, Lead Developer, Toughturtle LLC. "The idea came to me as I passed by my regular Chinese restaurant and saw the very low grade they had received from the city. This made me question all the restaurants that I frequent. I now wanted to know the grades and ratings of every restaurant."
The user interface of the App couldn't be simpler. Upon launch, the user is presented with a full screen map. Once the device has been located, via GPS or the Wifi/Cellular Signal, the nearest zip code is generated and nearby results are loaded onto the map, and into a list accessible on the Nearby screen, with a specific letter grade pin. Scrolling the map, moving it around, pinching and zooming will cause the map pins to update, showing the restaurants nearby and their inspection grades. Tapping on a pin will open up detailed information of the establishment including all past inspections, logistical data, and even Yelp reviews and rankings. Any detailed information that is viewed by the user will be saved into a database and will be accessible on the Recently Viewed screen. Safe Eat's search function is robust and easy to use too. The added search filters let the user search by restaurant name or by street, with partial or exact matching. An added feature is the ability to limit
the search to a specific borough or near the device's current location, giving more accurate and relevant results.

The custom interface between Apple's iOS and Microsoft(R)'s Windows platforms is complex and costly. But using the concept of pre-fab modules and built-in communication, iQuipment's unique software solution drastically reduces the typical engineering cost and development time associated with such a project by at least ten-fold.
Following simple SDK examples, a Windows developer can assemble well-defined functional modules to build up the desired iOS user interface(s) without writing a single line of iOS code, and without any knowledge of secure wireless communication between an iOS device and a Windows machine. In fact, all of the coding work and iOS UI design work for the Windows developer are done in his / her familiar Windows environment.
Unlike other credit card readers on iOS (such as the credit card system by Square, Inc.) which charge a service fee on each transaction via the readers' own designated payment gateway and processor, the iQuipment / ID Tech credit card module lets the POS developer choose the most favorable payment gateway, processor and banking system. The iQuipment software solution also enables the developer to extend beyond the payment solution to integrate manual browsing and ordering functions. A puzzle consists of the classic triangle board with 15 peg locations (such as those commonly seen in the Cracker Barrel restaurant). The object is to reduce the puzzle to a single peg by successively jumping a peg over an adjacent peg and into an empty location. Puzzles can vary in difficulty from requiring about 30 seconds to solve, to much more complex.
This app shows there is much more to simple peg puzzles than most people realize.
The typical peg solitaire puzzles begins with just one peg removed. What's special about Peg Pals is that it does not restrict the user to a single-peg removed puzzle, but rather generates random - but always solvable - puzzles with varying number of pegs removed.
As an option, puzzles may require that the final peg be in a specific spot. The user also has an option to use a timer and the option to show a solvable indicator that turns pink when the user errs and there is no longer a solution for the current puzzle.
Peg Pals also uses artificial intelligence search methodology to analyze positions and can tell the user how many solutions there are to a given puzzle and which moves are best in a given position.
The game allows for unlimited hints and the app will show you, move-by-move, how to solve any puzzle that you like. This makes the app great for both playing and learning how to solve any such puzzle.
The game play is smooth, fluid, and nicely animated. The pieces resemble smiley faces that beam when they are about to jump, or show horror when they are about to be jumped.
All settings are preserved between sessions, and the user will resume a puzzle exactly where she left off.
The app includes detailed and easy to access documentation of all its features.

It is ideal for both home and school geography lessons and is fun and challenging for children and adults.
Mesquite, Texas - Free Range Eggheads, a developer of educational iOS apps for children, today is excited to announce the release of their newest app, Puzzleography. Available for the iPad, Puzzleography is the first puzzle style geography game that includes the entire world and multiple levels of play.
Puzzleography includes nine maps: the continents of the world, the USA, Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, South America, North America, and a "hidden" bonus map accessible from the main screen. Players will leave the game knowing the location, shape, English pronunciation, relative size, and spelling of every continent and country in the world and every state in the USA.
The entire game is pirate themed. The maps stand on a picture of the ocean at dusk. A whimsical pirate holds the treasure map to each of the levels, and players must tap his treasure chest to receive another piece. A mini fireworks game inside a cave filled with lost pirate treasure, which allows players to explode a firework at a single touch, is the reward upon successful completion of a map.
Pieces are dispensed in a random order, for new game play every time.
The most distinguishing feature, however, is the levels. Puzzleography includes three levels to keep players entertained from ages 1 to 101.
In Level 1, young children who have mastered gross motor skills can simply touch any state, country, or continent to hear it spoken and see it spelled. Touch and drag off the state to leave it highlighted and the name displayed for spelling or reading practice.
In Level 2, older children can touch and drag the shape of every country to its proper place, while hearing the name and seeing it spelled. Thanks to organic game play, if they can't find a particular country, they can simply leave the piece anywhere on the board to come back to later while they grab another piece.
In Level 3, older children and adults will find the greatest challenge by eliminating shaped puzzle pieces. Players can drag the actual name of each country, state, or continent over its piece on the map.
Players also don't have to feel locked in to a single level. If Level 3 is too challenging, or Level 2 too easy, they can seamlessly shift between levels without losing their current puzzle or current on board pieces. Levels will be remembered from one map to the next.
"I'm really excited about the release of this new app," says founder and developer Amber Butler. "It could change the face of geography education in schools and at home. The most thrilling part to me is that children can, from a very early age, start to absorb the concept that there is more to the world than simply where they live. Through the multi-sensory learning in this app, my three-year old daughter knows that Texas is where she lives, but it's only a small part of the US, and the US is where she lives, but it's only a small part of the whole world, and Earth is where she lives, but it's only a small part of the solar system. That understanding alone, as rudimentary as it is, is well worth the cost."
