Create your own personal Moral Inventory using an iPhone or iPod touch.

Although this app is designated "Jr." it still has the same capabilities as the parent app, "Step 4 Moral Inventory" for the iPad. The user interface has been completely redesigned to accommodate the considerably smaller iPhone and iPod touch screen size.

It was originally thought impossible to convert the iPad version so the same tasks could be accomplished on the iPhone and iPod touch, but it has been done and the Step 4 Moral Inventory Jr. app is the end result.

The update to version 1.0.6 takes advantage of Automatic Reference Counting (ARC) to prevent memory leaks. Animations have also been updated to make them smoother.

Background:
The Step 4 Moral Inventory app was created because of the complexity and length of time needed to complete a proper Moral Inventory. When persons working their way through a 12-step program start creating their own moral inventory and discover that some ways of doing a Moral Inventory might require a thousand spreadsheets, the task seems daunting and many never get around to finishing it, thus depriving themselves of the rewards a completed Moral Inventory can provide. This app is an attempt at finding a way to make the task less time consuming, while at the same time helping the user create a valuable asset in their recovery process.

Storage of the Moral Inventory data is done using an underlying database which can be backed up and restored as necessary.

Disclaimer - This app is neither officially produced nor approved by Alcoholics Anonymous or any other Addiction Recovery program. From what is known there have been many Moral Inventory spreadsheets circulating unofficially among AA members for at least 50 years in various versions and this app is based on one the developer found to be useful and more comprehensive than most.

Acknowledgement:
Many thanks to "George" and his "Dungeon Prison Complete" spreadsheet which has been used as the outline for this app. This spreadsheet was developed based on years of his own personal research of the AA Big Book, along with help from many others who had already gone through the process of completing their own Moral Inventories. This was done in order to more fully understand the concepts necessary for completing his own Moral Inventory. George's extensive research resulted in the creation of the "Dungeon Prison Complete" spreadsheet, a detailed set of instructions on how to create a Moral Inventory, including several new concepts not directly covered in the AA Big Book: Sources of Anxiety/Excitement as a 4th Category; and a set of Sex Relations exercises. Both of these new elements were discovered to be critical in eventually understanding why we do what we do, the end result of completing your own Moral Inventory.

Anyone, Not Just 12-Steppers, Can Benefit from Completing a Moral Inventory:

The process of completing a Moral Inventory doesn't directly address anyone's specific addition or addictions, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Moral Inventory app gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. The questions asked help the user delve into areas often never considered before like:

* What did I want?
* Why did I want it?
* What am I not admitting?
* What lie did I tell myself? (always present)
* What did I leave out or not say?
* What lie did I tell others?
* Have I ever done the same thing?
* Was it any of my business?
* Were my expectations reasonable?
* What was the real truth?
* What was I not seeing?
* Did I fail to see the facts of the situation?
* What actions did I take to get what I wanted?
* What actions did I omit to get what I wanted?

Sometimes the questions are difficult to answer, but once done, they help provide significant insight into why certain choices were made and, more importantly, determining there are often alternative choices available which will make life so much better.

Klaipeda, Lithuania - Island Tribe 2, a second entry in a successful resource management game series by Realore Studios is now available for both iPad and iPhone owners. Island Tribe 2 continues the story of its predecessor and tells us a tale of peaceful islanders forced to leave their homes because of a huge volcano eruption. Many days they spend in the open sea until someone notices a raft with the lonely traveler on board. The traveler turns out to be a discoverer who is on a mission to find an ancient artifact. He asks the islanders to help him and in return shows them a map with three islands on it. Tribesmen agree because one of these mysterious islands can easily become their new home.

The gameplay of Island Tribe 2 is a combination of resource management strategy with the hidden object elements. The islanders have to advance through the level by lighting up the totems which open access to new territories. Some of these new areas have a hidden artifact or a peace of a bigger one hidden somewhere on a level map. To finish the level the players have to find as many of them as possible before the day runs out. The players have to hurry because they are not the only ones who are searching for the artifacts. Other not-so-friendly explorers, tomb raiders and pirates try to find the ancient treasure first.

The search of a new home will lead the islanders through the sunny sandy beaches, humid jungle swamps, ice-cold mountain peaks and pitch-dark caves. The paths through the islands are full of dangers such as wild predators, bees, pirates demanding a ransom and natural roadblocks. To get past the obstructions and find the treasure, the islanders will have to restore the infrastructure of an ancient civilization that inhabited these lost lands many centuries ago.

The game features bright colorful graphics and beautiful art design with attention to detail. Every level is filled with tree debris, tiny forest animals, remains of ancient architecture making the areas look and feel real and dreamlike at the same time. The gameplay is simple but addicting due to a combination of resource management and hidden object features. The story can be enjoyed in casual (more laid back), and arcade (for those who enjoy the challenge) modes.

Cambridge, United Kingdom - The infamous board game, "War on Terror", by TerrorBull Games, has been turned into an iPhone game that is set to explode onto the app store on 25 November.

War on Terror, the boardgame stirred controversy before it was even released for using humour and satire to tackle the subject of terrorism, resulting in death threats being issued against its inventors. It was summarily banned from every major toy fair in the world and ultimately secured notoriety when it became the first board game in history to be branded an offensive weapon by the police when they seized some copies at an environmental protest camp, citing the balaclava that comes with the game as a security threat. Now the digital version of what has been dubbed the "most dangerous board game in the world" will be available for 2.99 / $4.99 on the iTunes app store from 25 November 2011. Initially released for the iPhone and iPod touch, TerrorBull Games hopes to produce an optimised iPad version of the game, followed by an Android version shortly after.

War on Terror, the application is a strategy game of global liberation (ie. domination) that sees you establish your own Empire, which you then spread by various means across a world map divided into 49 countries, matching the rather simplistic view of the world that helped form foreign policy in the real 'war on terror'. Along the way, you must secure the richest oil reserves, since oil lubricates the liberation machine. You can also make and break alliances with other players and anonymously fund terrorism to eradicate or weaken the greater threat posed by other rogue empires. But don't forget to save some money for building missile defences or you're the one that might find themselves liberated.

The game additionally features dynamic oil distribution (every game is different), advanced, reactive artificial intelligence, simulated 4,5 and 6 player game options, all original artwork by award-winning illustrator, Tom Morgan-Jones, original sound and music by Robert Taliesin Owen, additional music by Jarvis Cocker and a School of the Americas-inspired "Torture School" that doubles as perhaps the most disturbing credits screen yet witnessed on the app store.

Deemed an "impossible project" by no fewer than three programmers, the digital version of War on Terror was just a pipe dream before TerrorBull Games found a willing development partner in David Partouche, a French, vegan anarchist and artificial intelligence specialist. Even then, with no budget to speak of, it took over a year and 17,000 lines of code before the game was complete. In fact, the only money TerrorBull Games spent was crowdsourced from loyal fans who rallied behind the independent games studio so that they could purchase the music licence for Jarvis Cocker's satirical epic, "Running the World".

Game designer and Director of TerrorBull Games, Andrew Sheerin commented, "We were ultimately convinced to enter the mobile app market by the success of Angry Birds - not because we have aspirations to imitate their success, but because we're the much-needed antidote to the glut of mindless, valueless fluff that bulks out 99% of the mobile games market. We want to kill the 'casual gamer'. The term is offensive - especially as nothing about their nature is remotely casual. The average casual gamer probably logs more hours and owns more games than your hardcore console freak. No one boasts of being a 'casual reader', it's unacceptable. We need to get away from this idea that games - particularly mobile games - can't do anything other than provide 30 seconds of brain-numbing distraction. Our mission is to make gaming both fun and meaningful."

The task of a gamer is to crack the combination of a secret code with as few moves as possible and in the shortest time possible. By cracking the right color code, he or she will bring a power generator to operation, thus renewing operation of the power plant. The game has three levels of difficulty and a career mode. The difficulty is increasing in it and a gamer gradually switches on 25 bulbs by turning electricity in.

Second, all morphing apps require the user to center control dots, which help align the features of the two photos, over the eyes and mouth on each picture. Reno, Nevada - Big Ben Parliament Creations (BBP Creations) is pleased to announce their new iPad apps on iTunes last week, "Santa's Christmas Activity Book Lite" and "Santa's Christmas Activity Book."

Within the first week the iPad apps had a 1,000 downloads. "The response to these apps are really exciting," stated Aurelia Goodfellow Head of Marketing for BBP Creations. "We know it is still early in the season, but this kind of a response with 5 star ratings and great reviews is an exciting way to start off the holiday."

The Lite iPad app, allows the user to decorate a Christmas Tree and then print or email their picture to family and friends. Children are able to select from 10 different activities in the full app. Activities include; decorating a Christmas tree, building a snowman, decorating a gingerbread man, word matches of 2 different levels, color matching, 3 different counting activities and of course writing a letter to Santa. "It's all about the magic. We wanted to create that warm holiday feeling and based on the downloads, I believe we have achieved just that," stated Goodfellow.

The full app, allows users to print and email certain activity screens as well as reset each activity for hours of playtime. Parents will love the app as it has parental controls for disabling the email, print and background music. The best activity is Santa's letter where a child can write or draw their letter to Santa, email it and receive a response within minutes with a new email from Santa being able to be received weekly through Christmas.

New York, New York - It's been a busy last few months for CB Labs, who published their first game The Adventures of Timmy: Run, Kitty, Run with developer studio Rain Interactive. From launching at the Adobe MAX Keynote back in October, to being featured in the Apple "New and Noteworthy" section, it was still a huge surprise when the game showed up in the finals of the Mashable Awards for the Best Mobile Game category.

"We're going up against the likes of Angry Birds and Cut the Rope," Creative Director Adam Kahn said. "That's huge in and of itself, especially for a game that's only been out for about a month and a half."

The game itself tells the tale of a young school boy named Timmy who wears a cat suit to school one day. In Back for Seconds players control a ball of goo with the ability to eat anything smaller than itself. The more it eats, the bigger it gets. By the end of the game, players are able to eat the entire world and more. Levels can now span vastly different object sizes; players can grow from the size of an amoeba to the size a galaxy within a single level.

Vancouver, Canada - Dingo Games announced today the release of Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds for iPhone and iPod touch. In Back for Seconds players control a ball of goo with the ability to eat anything smaller than itself. The more it eats, the bigger it gets. By the end of the game, players are able to eat the entire world (and more).

Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds is the sequel to Dingo Games' popular iPhone game, Tasty Planet. The sequel has many improvements over the original. Levels can now span vastly different object sizes; players can grow from the size of an amoeba to the size a galaxy within a single level. There is also a huge variety of new entities that players get to eat.

The game's story begins with the goo eating a time machine, causing him to be sent back in time. Players will eat their way through six different time periods: modern, Late Cretaceous (i.e. dinosaurs), Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, Feudal Japan, and the distant future. Each time period features a unique set of objects for players to eat. Mice, cats, Tyrannosaurus Rex, mummies, gladiators, and flying saucers are just a few of the hundreds of objects available for consumption.
