Okay, but how do I get rid of them, other than one-by-one? I tried the delete account trick but they all came back when I set the account up again. Some of these emails I've deleted 5 and 6 times. Suggestions gratefully accepted!

Does your ISP have a webmail interface that you could log on to and delete them there?

deleting emails on iPhone

Posted by: "Morgan Mandel" morgan@morganmandel.com   morganmandel

I mentioned I thought deleting on the iPhone could be dangerous, only because sometimes it's too simple to hit the delete button in a hurry on the go. If I changed the setting now, I'd have to get used to the messages being gone for good. Right now, I can do an edit and delete from the phone, but know I can still see it on my computer if I want.

I guess I'm one of those very cautious types.

When I read my mail (my primary account is an IMAP account) on my iPad or my iPhone, I delete or don't delete messages exactly as I would on my home computer.

Sometimes, I empty Mail's Trash from the iPad or iPhone, but more commonly perform that operation at home.

Until the trash is emptied, the deleted mails remain in it.

Perhaps putting the password in Client ID wasn't relevant, only switching wifi off then on again in settings. I wish I could figure it out. I'd like to send an explanation to the landlord why guest access is a major pain for iPhone and iPad using renters and how to fix it.

Do you think the same problem would apply to all tablet and smartphone users? To me "wifi included" means total access for all my apps and Mail, not just Internet. We'll probably go back to this apartment next year. And I'd like to help other renters as well,

I now recommend the LifeProof case. It will totally protect your iPhone from dust, dirt and water. Feel free to drop it in the toilet or take a shower with it. :-)

I would recommend some sort of protective case.
Personally, I've been very happy with a $2 silicone rubber slip-on case.

I use a full cover made of artificial leather. I think the cost was $ 9 or so.
Protected the screen during accidental falls.

A new study testing data speed, call reliability and voice quality, web

US carriers finds that AT&T's data speeds are the fastest, while
Verizon takes the crown for having the least dropped calls.

The competition: Galaxy Nexus brings the heat, beating iOS 5 in brow

http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/9To5Mac-MacAllDay/~3/0vDGFsm6QtU/

Sent to you by Bill Boulware via Google Reader: The competition: Galaxy
Nexus brings the heat, beating iOS 5 in browser speed tests, but
falling in OpenGL Benchmarks via 9to5Mac by Jake Smith on 11/19/11

The first Ice Cream Sandwich handset, the Galaxy Nexus, hit the UK this
week (US launch coming soon) and AnandTech has benchmarked the
ICS/Galaxy Nexus combo vs. the iPhone 4S/iOS 5 combo. The Galaxy Nexus
processor/GPU isn't groundbreaking by any means, but the new software
inside is certainly packing a punch beating iOS in a few key areas. As
seen in the graph to the right, the Galaxy Nexus has a slightly faster
tested browser than the iPhone 4S — a crucial day-to-day necessity for
users.

The Galaxy Nexus also comes up with the win in JavaScript loading,
bringing faster load times than the Droid RAZR and iPhone 4S. Don't
think the Galaxy Nexus is going to come away with everything, however.
Both Apple's iPhone 4S and iPad 2 outperform the Galaxy Nexus in GPU
loading — which is limited by its slower SGX 540 underneath. That's an
important consideration for gaming.

The Galaxy Nexus's hardware has been dubbed very smooth compared to
older versions of Android. Google is activating 550,000 Android devices
a day and is still behind iOS in total Activations at 200 million
total. Head after the break for more graphs.

Does anyone have experience with using VPN4All or hotspot shield for VPN security - any pros, cons, security issues. I started using vpn4all on my laptop - it seems to be working well. There is a way to use it on the phone as well.
I am using hotspot shield on my phone but during use the battery drains much more quickly and runs hot. Any one else have such a problem.
Thanks for any input

Hi Everyone,

I just joined because I am considering getting the new iPhone. I
currently have an EVO 4g and use Outlook for my calendar and contacts. Will Outlook also work with the iPhone? I also have a Acer Android tablet.

Another question: can you use Slingbox with the new phone?

Thanks.
