Using One Click Digital Media to download audio books - Touch 3G

My library, Charleston County, SC, has recently switched to One Touch Digital to
manage downloading audio books from their site to an iPod using iTunes. I am
totally confused on how to handle downloads of audio books with this system. It
is required that iTunes be set for "manually manage music and videos". I do
that and the audio book loads, so far so good. But if I need to update
music/videos by checking their respective boxes, the box to 'manually manage..."
becomes unchecked and the book disappears and has to be downloaded again. It
appears that anytime I update music/videos, I will also have to reload the
book. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there anyway around having to do
having to reload the book every time?
