RUN AWAY!! As FAST as you can. It contains a virus apparently. Been hearing about it all day yesterday.

It has nothing to do with the model of iPhone. It is a glitch in how iPhone Mail handles threads. It is caused by people stealing threads, i.e. changing the subject line instead of starting a new email.

Where is "All Inboxes"?
I have only "Inbox"
I use only one email account. Perhaps that is the only reason thar I need to reboot.

I could tell you the iPhone is the only way to go if you want a smartphone, but I won't. From what I've read and from a couple friends, there are some very good Android phones out there that do a lot of what the iPhone does. I've never had a smartphone until the iPhone. It just depends on what you want to be able to do with your phone and what is comfortable for you.

I want to do more than just talk on the phone but as far as a lot of what
is listed below I would consider the iPhone TOO small. I would use it for
mostly pictures and music. I have an iPad so most of the other stuff is
better on an iPad because it is bigger. I am a retired person so I'm not
young so I think this makes a difference too.

I have no idea what a Luddite is. LOL

http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html

That is Apple's official info on how to save your battery. Bunch of
setting changes.

There are external batteries but they are not Apple or Verizon
batteries. Have bought some off eBay, Amazon and others have also. Do a
search on something like "external iPhone battery". 1900mAh is a good
size. 1200 is OK but difference in price is often zip. You can also find
external batteries that will recharge several things (Kindle, phones,
Zune, MiFi) if you have the right cord.
There are also iphone cases that have an external battery in them. Many
people like them but since I have a couple phones, zune, iPod, I go with
a generic battery and carry cords or the ones that will plug into any
Apple.

I have a New Trent external battery that I used on my iPhone 3GS - I have had it over a year and it charges the phone fully for 2-3 cycles. It is the 5000mamp battery. It works so well I got myself a christmas present ;-). - a 9500mamp dual port version that can charge an iPad and iPhone at the same time. I find the greatest use for these is on a long trip - I can have the battery in the carry on, run the cord out of the bag and attach it to the phone. Having the dual charger in one will allow me to use the iPad while my husband uses the iPhone on a long flight. The website is www.newtrent.com

Finally resolved this issue by doing a sync where I un-checked the "sync music" box (removing over 3,000 songs from my phone), then re-checking the box (which, luckily, had retained all of my checked and unchecked boxes for music I did and didn't want on my phone). Putting all that music back on my phone took quite a while, but it DID work.

This "Flow" app seems to be the same as the Amazon Remembers feature if the existing Amazon app. In the Amazon app, under the "More" tab, you select Amazon Remembers, take a photo, and Amazon finds a similar product. That feature has been around for years.

Do not go with Sprint. Their data speeds are horribly slow and their customer service is a nightmare. I had sprint and took forever to upload and download anything with my phone and whenever I was on the phone with customer service I would get a person and they would keep me on hold forever and then disconnect me. This happened at least 30x to me in the past 4 months (no joke). I had 6 months left in my plan and I paid $70 just to break my contract. Since sprint came out with the iPhone their network couldn't handle it, I was getting dropped calls and my calls wouldn't go through!! I have been on AT&T for 15 days now and have the iPhone 4s and I love it so far. No problems and I have not needed to even call customer service for any issues so far. Speeds are the difference between night and day! Verizon is a good choice too but I couldn't afford Verizon. Oh and I recently just called sprint just to find out what my final bill was and was hung up on 3x and given a different price 3x and I finally asked the person to call me back if we were disconnected again and we were she called me 3x and 2 of those 3 times we were disconnected. So needless to say I was on the phone from 3-6pm just trying to find out what my final payment to them would be. What a nightmare. Bye Sprint!

Service really depends on your area and area of use as my experience is
exactly opposite yours. ATT was a nightmare and in the end I rarely even
used my iPhone 3GS as a phone as service was so bad where I needed it. So
bad
that I skipped the iPhone 4 and went to Sprint for the EVO and now the 4S.

Never had anyone hang up on me, never any disconnects and the data speeds
are nice. I would not even think about going back to ATT.

I have an ATT MicroCell in my house. It is a wonderful invention but ever since I upgraded my iPhone4 to IOS5 the phone disconnects from the MicroCell during the night. Only way to make it see it again is to turn off the iPhone then turn it back on. The bad thing is that I have no cell tower signal after it disconnects so I miss calls and texts. Anyone else seen this?

Are you on 5.0 or 5.0.1? Sounds like it is turning off the Cell and/or WiFi
radio and not reconnecting. I don't have a MicroCell (trying to get AT&T
to give me one as I refuse to pay to use my internet to overcome their poor
coverage) but I have read about this in 5.0.1 as part of the "Battery
saving" features - normal cell towers ping the phone but the MicroCell
waits for the phone to ping it...

I do have 5.01. It has done this under both versions. Since it seems to only do this at night you may have hit it. Something to do with battery savings when usage stops. Just as a side note ATT has a list of areas that they know the coverage is bad and give the MicroCells away without a question. Just had to ask. I live WAY out in the country and no cellphone provider covers this area very well. I have had ATT since the Bellsouth Mobility days and never had a complaint.

My area is "fully covered" and they offered me one at $149.99.... Yet
inside my house and my office I have one or two bars if lucky and move
close to windows - in the back of house and office I get No Signal or 1 bar
and dropped calls....

I *have* bought and received iTunes Gift Certificates in the mail. You
just get a number like so:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2736

Don't go to any links in any email to type in a code, use your iTunes
to go to the Apple store and use the link from there.

Hi Betsy - thank you. Yes I have gotten the physical certificates before - never one by email. That was why I got suspicious

I have a client who opened that email - I removed the virus, but it did a LOT of damage to his XP and settings...
