I recently plugged in my iphone to my laptop to get updated. It restored, updated and did some other stuff while I was reading my email. When it was all done, I unplugged it and noticed all my apps are gone. Where did they go?? And now I have videos and music added to my main page. How do I get rid of them and get my apps back?

If they are *really* not there, on any page of Apps, I would say "restore from backup".
You DID make a fresh backup before updating your iPhone, right?

Plug in your iPhone, choose it in iTunes and check all the tabs to see if ll is set the way you want it.

You can move newsstand to a back page.

Wifi printing from iPhone

I need some help, please. Is there a way to print from iPhone 2 (AT&T service) directly to a Cannon wireless printer? I have an older desktop computer that is not wireless compatible.
Thanks!

My Dad belongs to the MUG where he lives. It's mainly seniors. Quite a few of them are very adept at using Macs. Dad can do a few things but not a lot. He wants to do more, so joined the MUG. He doesn't get a lot out of the speakers. He doesn't understand a lot of it. So, he's going to take Mac classes at his local senior center. I'm really happy for him.

I was SO right. I've taken numerous classes and have become very able to navigate through all the features of this laptop. I recently bought the iPhone 4s, my first smart phone. My second class on using the various features was today. I'm getting very familiar with the apps and various features of this phone. One to One is worth every cent...you spend 1 hour with one of the geniuses...I'm in my 70's, so this tech stuff doesn't come to me easily.

As such, I get frustrated with people that don't get it right away when I try explaining things to them. It's great that the Apple Store has classes on their products. They really know how to explain things in a way others understand. Apple has made it so that a little instruction makes a person want to explore on their own. It's a great feeling.

I'm old fashioned so I still think of the cellular gizmo as something to make phone calls with that can also be used to do other things but in reality it is a device that has all kinds of amazing functions and capabilities that can also make phone calls.

But when I touched Mail on the upper right it took me to a yahoo log-in screen. All that is to say that I don't know how to find the preloaded email, I guess the Guide that I found may of been what you were referring to.

For some reason, I am unable to connect w/him. His number will ring, and then finally a message will say that the number is incorrect. I live in PA and am dialing this number as if it was long distance. I guess I am doing something wrong because I seem to be the only one that can't connect w/him. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
First, they aren't exactly alike. Vz uses CDMS and AT&T uses GSM and the hardware is different.
If you are just dialing then you are not using the internet. Call your daughter-in-law and find out what software application that she is using to contact him. If they are using the internet, they are using a VOIP application. It could be FaceTime or Skype.

Problem viewing webpages w/ iPhone 2
Posted by: "leannpool" leannpool@yahoo.com leannpool

Does anyone know how to solve a problem I encounter occasionally when viewing webpages on my iPhone? Sometimes the "bottom bar" on webpages is not at the bottom of the page, but "floating" over information or on top of fill in boxes. (I.e. Yahoo sign-in page--the "bar" is on top of box to click on after I fill in user name & password. Another site I need to use often, the "bar" is on top of the box a user number goes in.) The "bar" is usually the copyright info, contact info, etc of the website. Thanks!
