Arjun,

At one point, you mentioned being able to recover the Install OS X Lion file from the recovery partition?!

Did you try the utility I mentioned to create a bootable recovery SD card/thumb drive/dvd?

Or am I mistaken about being able to get the file?

Even so, the file itself will allow installation of Lion without re-downloading it.

I was able to get to the file on my other laptop, but couldn't manage to create a thumb drive on my other laptop. I wanted to wait until I could create the thumb drive from the same laptop where I want to re-install the OS X.

Have been caught up with meetings and mainstream work today. Will update the group soon once I get down to do it.

Really appreciate your checking with me and the extra help everyone keeps extending. I really wish things were perfect the way they were meant to be, and we all got a consistent client experience (much touted by management gurus in the consulting world)

I did a search for 'iCloud' at apple.com/support and came up with this:

<http://support.apple.com/kb/index?page=search&src=support_site.home.search&locale=en_US&q=icloud>

Pretty informative stuff!

Harry

PS Note, the locale=en_USA portion of the link. This might differ from your locale.

Just go to 'www.apple.com/support' and enter as the search term 'iCloud'.

You will find many useful links on how to use each portion of iCloud.

Hope this helps!
