AirForShare is a clipboard service intended to provide temporary storage of relatively small files. Once files have been uploaded, they appear as labeled thumbnails, and users can choose to download any number of files. Of course, only compatible downloaded files can be opened, so Windows-only files types such as .exe will not open on Apple devices, and .qxd files will not open unless the user owns a copy of the QuarkXpress application. The most commonly seen file extensions (.pdf, .jpg, .txt, .gif, .mp3, etc.) can be shared without difficulty between devices and platforms.

Users can browse through a scrollable list of the files available for download and may select any of them. A second tap or mouse click initiates the actual download. AirForShare even supports the saving of downloads directly to Dropbox or other cloud based storage services. Users of iDevices upload and download files via the AirForShare app, which is free. Users of non-iOS mobile devices and computers can access the AirForShare server via any web browser application. Since all computers and mobile devices are connected to the Internet via the same router, they all share the same external IP address, eliminating any need for users to search for files on the AirForShare Server.

Clinton Township, Michigan - KnewSense today is pleased to announce MacAppBlocker 1.3 for OS X, an update to their Utility that enables users to block access to any application by placing it on a Blocked App list that is password protected. A safer and more practical solution for insuring privacy than creating multiple login accounts, MacAppBlocker allows the user to share their computer or leave it unattended, while being assured that sensitive apps and documents cannot be opened. In addition, a timeout value may be assigned to each app on the list, so that the app will automatically close after a specified period of inactivity. The simple app appears as a convenient Menu Bar icon, and gives the user the option of whether or not it launches automatically at startup.

MacAppBlocker requires minimal setup for operation. First, the user must supply a private password, which will unlock both the utility itself as well as any application that has been placed on its Blocked App list. Once started, the app runs in the background, occupying little RAM and using minuscule CPU resources only when the app's password is entered or changes are made to the Blocked App list. The number of applications that can be placed under the utility's protection is virtually unlimited. The second step is clicking the "+" icon to add applications to the list.

On attempting to launch any application on the Blocked App list, the standard OS X "Enter Password" window opens, stating, "Type Your MacAppBlocker password to allow access to this application." Entering the password instantly opens the application, and failed attempts are recorded in the utility's Blocked App list, displaying the number of failed attempts, the date, and time. The app's Menu Bar lock icon turns red, notifying the user that an unsuccessful attempt has been made to open blocked data/apps. Additional protection is provided by the utility's timeout feature, which automatically closes any listed app after a specified period of inactivity (30 sec., 5 min., 10 min., 20 min.). Of course, listed applications can be easily added or deleted, and all protection can be disabled for a single session, resuming on restart.

Set against a background of a spiral galaxy, players must solve 5x5 magic squares, where the sum of each row, column, or diagonal equals 65. Purple tiles from 1 to 25 are moved from the right to the left square. At the start of play, the left square already contains some grey tiles, which are immovable, and new sums are displayed as users move tiles.

St. Petersburg, Russian Federation - Coil Devs today introduces Tristis 1.0 for iOS, their new cosmic, magic squares, logic game with four levels of play and more than 300,000 puzzles. Set against a background containing a rotating spiral galaxy amidst a twinkling starfield, players must solve 5x5 magic squares, where the sum of each row, column, or major diagonal equals 65. Purple tiles from 1 to 25 are dragged from the right to the left square and can be moved to any empty square at any time during gameplay. Purple number tiles can also be returned to the right square and stored until needed. At the start of play, the left square already contains some grey tiles, which are immovable because they are already in the correct position to solve the current magic square. Sums are automatically displayed along the top and left margins, immediately reflecting changes as users move tiles.

A popular puzzle in recreational mathematics for thousands of years, most magic squares seen in newspapers and magazines are of the simpler 3x3 or 4x4 variety. All the magic squares in Tristis are five cells wide and five cells high, with a total of 25 cells. Only one chip or tile can occupy a cell, and cells with grey tiles cannot be changed. All 5x5 magic squares have "65" as their magic number, and the five cells in every column always add up to 65, as do the five cells in every row, as well as the five cells in both major diagonals.

All 25 chips in each puzzle occur only once, so each completed magic square contains all the integers from 1 - 25 in one of hundreds of thousands possible arrangements. The game feature instantaneous computation of the sum of every column, row, and diagonal, which allows the player to focus their attention on the logical steps in solving the puzzle, rather than spending most of gameplay adding unwieldy groups of five integers. As soon as a new purple chip is moved into place, all sums are updated, and similarly if a chip is moved or removed.

The animated spiral galaxy and futuristic music contribute to the feeling of playing a game based on the pure logic that is responsible for all the physical and mathematical laws of the universe. Expressed by the ancient Greek philosopher, Pythagoras, as The Music of the Spheres, the mathematical nature of the laws governing the universe was recognized in many ancient cultures around the world. Dragging purple tiles create animated motion trails, changes to the gameboard that result in sums greater than 65 are highlighted in red, or green for a perfect 65, and a digital timer tracks the amount of time necessary to solve the puzzle.

Watch your people walk, eat, sleep, and talk to each other for entertainment. Couples marry. Babies are born, grow up, and are assigned careers of their own. Each person is a unique character who can be assigned a career. As they go about their careers, their skills improve. As their skills improve, new careers are opened to them. Stay out of the way of your enemies or attack them when you feel there is no other option.

Cultures: Northland follows the story of a wandering band of Vikings, guided by a quartet of heroes named Bjarni (son of the famous explorer Leif Ericsson), his lover Cyra, and their friends Hatchi and Sigurd. Hatchi soon finds that his homeland is overrun by enemies. As a result, he calls upon his friends for help. The game's campaign is spread out over eight missions, and you can also play an additional eight stand-alone missions that are unrelated to the story.
