Wellington, Florida - Blue Whale Apps, a division of Blue Whale Web Solutions, Inc., announced today the release of Hungry Dragon 1.0 for iOS, their new arcade game that challenges players to control a hungry Chinese dragon who grows one segment longer each time he eats. The goal of this unique game is to consume enough food to level up, while not killing the Hungry Dragon by allowing any part of his body touch to touch any other part. Players control the dragon's movement with right and left thumb buttons, and a shield button can be used to protect him for a short time. Having grown to 10 or more segments in length, he can no longer make continuous turns, because his head touches his tail.
Hungry Dragon features authentic Chinese art graphics and animation. The detailed red dragon resembles the long, segmented dragons seen at Chinese New Year celebrations. There are four different locations, each a peaceful, transcendent rendering of a scene from Nature. Bamboo sticks around the perimeter of the playing surface define the boundaries within which the dragon can move.
Gameplay in this single player game is easy to learn, but it becomes increasingly difficult to maneuver the dragon as his tail gets longer and longer. Players can eat a "shield," which, when activated, allows the dragon to cross over his tail safely, but lasts only a few seconds. Without the benefit of a shield, the player loses one heart each time the dragon's head crosses over his tail. Losing all three hearts ends the game, and there are four levels of play. The game is localized for both English speaking and Chinese speaking gamers.
Hungry Dragon is an unusual arcade game because there are no enemies or bombs that can destroy the player; the player's only enemy is his own long tail. Additionally, the Hungry Dragon moves across the playing surface at a good rate of speed. Hitting a bamboo wall head-on, he continues at the same speed along the inside edge of the wall. Thumb buttons allow the player to turn the dragon's head clockwise or counter clockwise and his entire tail follows in a smooth, serpentine reaction. Players must use very short bursts of right and left turning in order to navigate accurately. Holding a button for more than two seconds puts the dragon into a tight, circular turn, which can be dangerous. A shield button activates one of the activations that has been earned.

Replies incorporates the email browser style found in the iOS Mail app. A thin column on the left holds icons for Inbox, Outbox, Pending, and Resolved, plus folders within each box. The next thin column contains a scrolling list of emails, where each item is displayed in five lines of text, including the sender, subject, date, and beginning text of the message. The third and final column is wide, about two-thirds of the window, and displays the email's text and graphics in their entirety. This horizontally oriented design makes much more efficient use of screen real estate than the OS X Mail app and other email clients that are vertically oriented.
Replies automates the process of answering a customer service request. Selecting the request in the second column displays the complete email in the third column. In the bottom tab bar is the "Reply" button, which displays a perfectly formatted reply that already includes the personalized greeting, the signature, an empty snippet field, and a copy of the original email request. Clicking in the first snippet text field, the user does not need to write an opening sentence. Rather they simply look up one of the opening sentences used in the past that has automatically been saved as a snippet. Snippets are categorized and saved by topic, so the user simply needs to insert the appropriate snippets, one after another, to create a perfectly worded reply.
Those in a customer service department may compose and save thousands of snippets a year, which, using Replies, are always online and ready to be reused. Since the vast majority of customer service requests raise questions or concerns already addressed by previous answers, Replies saves much of the typing work and makes sure answers remain consistent. Of course, users are free to compose original text and build a reply using as many snippets as they like, in whatever order they choose.

As an adjunct to automatically formatted and constructed replies, the app simplifies the process of attaching files, including audiovisual media, and incorporating graphics and screenshots within the reply. A very practical feature is the ability to undo message sends. Within the first 15 seconds of sending an email, the user can undo the action before the email is sent. Email correspondence can be easily archived either manually (the user can specify archiving to either the Pending or Resolved folders) or automatically (Replies archives all the messages in a threaded conversation within the original folder). The app also provides a quick auto-CRM feature: when the user clicks any email address, they get a quick overview showing all the conversations they have had with a customer.
Another valuable convenience feature is the intelligent prioritization of emails within boxes using active, static, and smart folders. By default, Replies automatically creates the following folders: VIP (conversations with important people), New Customers (correspondence with customers receiving an email for the first time), Existing Customers (emails from customers who have already received one or more emails), Ping Pong (emails with multiple or forwarded messages), Notifications (messages that do not require a reply), and Unfiltered (miscellaneous emails not matching any other folder). Users can easily add additional folders, including rule based smart folders.

Toronto based Ironic Software has discounted the price of the brand new 3.0 releases of popular document management tool Yep and the 'find anything' Leap on the OS X Mac App Store. Yep is a document manager that starts where the Finder stops. The default display shows all the PDFs, iWork and Microsoft Office documents in your home account. Leap version 3.0 introduces pro features like showing hidden files, and creating your own file type groups. Sale runs until Saturday, Dec 17.
Toronto, Canada - Ironic Software has discounted the price of the brand new 3.0 releases of popular document management tool Yep and the 'find anything' Leap on the Mac App Store. Company president Tom Andersen noted that users of version 2.x of these products now have the opportunity to upgrade to these Lion friendly r3.0 releases for less than any previous upgrade offer. Both these applications require OS X 10.6.8 or later.
These 3.0 releases add support for Lion - with Lion only features like full screen, 10.7 friendly scroll bars, and a cleaner interface look. The applications have also been performance tuned for Lion.
Yep is a document manager that starts where the Finder stops. The default display shows all the PDFs, iWork and Microsoft Office documents in your home account. This can help new users to the Mac find documents they had misplaced. By using the preferences, the application can be set to handle some of the more complicated organization tasks and finding tasks that are common in an office environment.
Leap is the 'find anything' tool. 3.0 introduces pro features like showing hidden files, and creating your own file type groups. Power users familiar with the Mac will enjoy the rich feature set and flexibility of Leap. Often used in the creative workflow, these professionals can for instance see all the images in a project folder with a click or two, so fewer assets get lost.
Both applications allow searching faster than the default 'Spotlight' search on the Mac. "Simply seeing the document that you are looking for will often help finding it - both products can present files as nice large quick look images, which is something that does not happen in the Spotlight menu", added Tom Andersen.
The sale ends Saturday, December 17, 2011.
