The iCarpus works fine with the Otterbox. I verified it. Buy one on Amazon.

If you are using an otterbox case or a case that is not as quickly removable, you can buy a dock extender such as Stubz (sp?) or LifeProof has one through Radtech which is what I use for my LifeProof case. It will work w/all docking stations and you don't have to remove your case! (^__^)

i'm using this one on my iPone 4 (with case). there's a small insert that
pops out and allows phones with cases to connect.

although i get them a lot less expensively on eBay.

If you hadn't said your phone was sending data, I would have said it was your mail. I first noticed this when overseas a couple of years ago - the phone was sucking up data - over 200 Mb in 3 days. It was only a couple of weeks later I tied it to getting some very large files on one of my e-mail addresses.

Check your last couple of AT&T bills.
For some reason my AT&T bill only shows outgoing, and I really think that is incoming. A high month for me is 1.7GB in. I don't send a whole lot outgoing except a few emails. So I would say that I am on the low side.
If those numbers above are for most of a month you are a bit high, but not what I would think you're in the top 5%. I'd be curious to know your monthly average usage, just as a bench mark.
Are you using an app to track those numbers? If so, what is it.

It changes every month, but it would be nice to know where it is approximately. There is no set number, because if they did have a set number they would be open for a class action law suit.

I did not use an app. Never really cared since I was unlimited.
I went into the general settings and looked there.
Thx

Yeap, sounds like smoke and mirrors.
Who, outside of AT&T is verifying this top 5%? And 5% of what, all cellular data usage or just the top 5% of the "unlimited" accounts?
How many notices are sent each month, and are any in error?
I've heard of 3 people getting this notice on the 4 Mac lists I'm on. Granted that is where you might expect to find a higher percentage of high volume users, but that is still a lot.

In my case, the reason is because I synchronize my bookmarks among 2 Mac's, 2 iPhones, and 2 iPads.

Further, even if there is no visible bar on the tiny amount of screen real estate on the iPhone, those websites are still easily available to me in an organized fashion, merely by looking into the bookmarks listing.
