FmPro Migrator Platinum Edition now includes support for the automated PHP conversion of an additional 10 commonly used script steps assigned to layout objects. The automated conversion of these additional script steps provides a significant improvement to the overall PHP web application functionality.

Virtually any object on a FileMaker layout can have a script step attached, including: button, image, text label, rectangle, rounded rectangle, circle/oval and line objects. These same objects include button scripting functionality on the converted web application form.

The new Data access preference item provides control over the Add, Edit or Delete records features within the generated web application. This feature removes unnecessary controller and button code, preventing data modification if it is not required in in a publicly available web application. This feature makes it easy to generate a full featured admin application plus also generate a 2nd Read Only version of the web application for public access to the data.

In addition to object scripting features additional reporting features provide script and object dependency reporting for each layout within the converted solution.

Newly added script steps include:
* Enter Find Mode - Redirects the user to the Query form for the same layout.

* Enter Browse Mode - Redirects the user to the View form for the same layout, using the record stored within the $_SESSION['current_record'] variable for the current model.

* New Record - Redirects the user to the Add form for the same layout.

* Delete Record - Prompts for confirmation, then deletes the current record if the user clicks Ok.

* Show All Records - Clears the $_SESSION['foundset'] array for the current model.

* Beep - Uses Javascript code to download and play the included beep1.wav sound file. The implementation of this feature also makes it possible to specify additional sound files for different tasks within the web application.

* Open URL - Opens the specified web page URL in a new browser window.

* Goto Layout - Opens the View form for the specified converted layout, and opens the most recently visited record. If a form using this model has not previously been visited, the first record in the model will be displayed.

* Perform Script - Executes the specified converted script as a function call within the current controller file or AppController.

* Print - Opens the web browser print dialog to print the currently displayed form.

Previously implemented layout object script steps include: Goto Record/Request [First], Goto Record/Request [Last], Goto Record/Request [Previous], Goto Record/Request [Next].

Background:
The Life Inventory apps were created because of the complexity and length of time needed to complete a proper Moral Inventory. When persons working their way through a 12-step program start creating their own moral inventory and discover that some ways of doing a Moral Inventory might require a thousand spreadsheets, the task seems daunting and many never get around to finishing it, thus depriving themselves of the rewards a completed Moral Inventory can provide. This app is an attempt at finding a way to make the task less time consuming, while at the same time helping the user create a valuable asset in their recovery process.

Storage of the Life Inventory data is done using an underlying database which can be backed up and restored as necessary.

Disclaimer - This app is neither officially produced nor approved by Alcoholics Anonymous or any other Addiction Recovery program. From what is known there have been many Moral Inventory spreadsheets circulating unofficially among AA members for at least 50 years in various versions and this app is based on one the developer found to be useful and more comprehensive than most.

Acknowledgement:
Many thanks to "George" and his "Dungeon Prison Complete" spreadsheet which has been used as the outline for this app. This spreadsheet was developed based on years of his own personal research of the AA Big Book, along with help from many others who had already gone through the process of completing their own Moral Inventories. This was done in order to more fully understand the concepts necessary for completing his own Moral Inventory. George's extensive research resulted in the creation of the "Dungeon Prison Complete" spreadsheet, a detailed set of instructions on how to create a Moral Inventory, including several new concepts not directly covered in the AA Big Book: Sources of Anxiety/Excitement as a 4th Category; and a set of Sex Relations exercises. Both of these new elements were discovered to be critical in eventually understanding why we do what we do, the end result of completing your own Moral Inventory.

Anyone, Not Just 12-Steppers, Can Benefit from Completing a Life Inventory:

The process of completing a Life Inventory doesn't directly address addictions specifically, but rather helps the user examine in detail events that have transpired in their life. The Life Inventory apps gently assists the user in probing into not only what happened, but also why it happened. The questions asked help the user delve into areas often never considered before like:

* What did I want?
* Why did I want it?
* What am I not admitting?
* What lie did I tell myself? (always present)
* What did I leave out or not say?
* What lie did I tell others?
* Have I ever done the same thing?
* Was it any of my business?
* Were my expectations reasonable?
* What was the real truth?
* What was I not seeing?
* Did I fail to see the facts of the situation?
* What actions did I take to get what I wanted?
* What actions did I omit to get what I wanted?

Sometimes the questions are difficult to answer, but once done, they help provide significant insight into why certain choices were made and, more importantly, determining there are often alternative choices available which will make life so much better in the future.

Players must kill animated, cartoon monsters behind moving and stationary barriers. The player fires an Amethyst, Emerald, or Ruby, each of which ricochet off seven surfaces before dropping to the ground. With 100 stages and ingenious puzzles, detailed motion trails of gemstones create hypnotic patterns against the black and white graphics. The physics engine, graphics engine, and sound effects are perfectly tuned to provide an always-exciting gaming experience.

There are more than ten different, small, animated monsters in the game who shuffle their feet and look around trying to avoid being noticed. They are hiding, alone or in groups, from the player who is a simple stick figure in the lower left of the screen. Played in portrait orientation, the monsters take shelter on a never-repeating assortment of bizarre structures, on a gameboard filled with obstacles and barriers that make for some very complex ricochets. Depending upon the composition of the item, it will emit a particular sound when hit by one or more gemstones bouncing off surfaces at various speeds. The object of the game is to clear the board of all the monsters, earning one, two, or three stars depending upon the number of gems required. When all the monsters are gone, the player moves to the next stage.

Besides the web of angles in each puzzle, each gemstone has a special capability, and players can select the gem they want to fire (only the launch angle, not velocity, can be controlled with a touch gesture) from those available at that stage. Pinkish violet Amethysts behave normally, bouncing predictably off objects with the angles equal before and after collision. The deep green Emerald also behaves normally, until the player taps the screen while it is moving and it splits into two Amethysts, capable of twice the destruction. The blood red Ruby is similar, but explodes, rather than splits, when the screen is touched.

The gameplay is always highly dynamic with very creative puzzles, projectiles, interactions, and strategies for winning. The stylized, black and white graphics and animation establish a film noir mood, while the shooting gems and motion trails show up in high contrast. BlackTower3 is an eye-catching physics game for iOS that brings some of the style of Frank Miller's "Sin City" to iDevices everywhere.
