One can create an SSB with Fluid that points to Yahoo Mail and then using the RCDefaultApp prefpane, point email towards that.

But I don't know how to choose Yahoo mail because I don't think there is actually an App for Yahoo mail. If there is I don't know where to look for it. There isn't one in my applications folder that I can find, and doing a search of my hard drive gave no results.

And how do you point to Yahoo Mail when it's not an app?

Mark,

GMX has a lot of negative reviews. Your experience seems to be good. How long have you been with gmx, and why do you use gmail if gmx is that good?

I've looked at gmx several times in the past, but the negative reviews keep me away.

FWIW, I've been using gmx.net (the German language version) for 14 years. It has been extremely reliable.

Brent,

I don't use it personally, I just help folks in the office to set it up.
I've set up quite a few accounts now and not heard any complaints. If I
wasn't using Gmail I'd probably be using GMX....

hope this link helps--

I unlocked a phone, it worked, but you have to be a current att customer
for them to do it, so if you are not, find a friend who is, and they can
summit the information for you, then forward you the instructions to unlock
it, which is easy.

I have one problem with Apple Maps on my iPad I could use some help with. I've generated a lot of location pins on my maps but I can't find how to delete them. Can anyone offer some guidance on that subject?

OK, I enabled sharing. Very basic questions now--do I need cables to connect the 2 and how do I access the info from the laptop with the non-working optical drive?

Thanks for your patience...

Howdy.

Sharing, File Sharing, etc., assumes that the two computers are
connected in some manner.

Could be by:

Firewire Target Disk mode
Ethernet wired network
WiFi network,
Even Bluetooth short range network

Here's an Apple support article on how to use Firewire Target Disk
mode.

They both have Airport (Wi-Fi), surely? With Sharing enabled, the drive in
one will appear in Finder in the other.

An ethernet (cable) connection would be faster but Airport should be OK.

Howdy.

Question for the group.

Who is using Passbook on his iPhone?

If used - - - where? Coffee shops? Movie tickets? MLB (Major League Bassball) tickets? Something else?

Is it working? Easy to use?

Denver Dan.
