This multiple sends (never more than 2) has been happening to me since I upgraded to Mountain Lion - I see the new update has changed some things in the Mail program - see if it helped this.

Most people haven't. I called my ISP (AT&T) and all they could suggest was sending myself some emails directly from this account and seeing if they ended up coming in multiple times. Well, almost all the emails I've sent to the group haven't gotten stuck that way so that doesn't look like a solution. I'll just have to see if it keeps happening and decide how to proceed. If necessary I can just switch from this email account to another and change my Yahoo preferances accordingly.

Yes, Mail 6.2 on OSX 10.8.2 - an update was released yesterday (I think) and, among other things, it "fixed" some Mail issues but I think those were dealing with Japanese characters (which I don't use).

I blog on WordPress these days. It's basically free, but there are limitations. You have to upgrade to add movies or music or get your own domain name. Anything more than basics will cost. Many themes are an added cost. That said, I'm still happy with the free version.
You can use the WordPress app on your computer but you have to add a few apps to your Mac. Basically you have to add Apache, MySQL, and PHP.
This is the Wordpress app:
http://wordpress.org
This is the Wordpress for mac site:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_Locally_on_Your_Mac_With_MAMP
I tried Sandvox for awhile and it looks nice and very easy to work with but I'm still happy with the WordPress site - I haven't used the download.
I don't know how much of the above will work on your 5.8.
Basic trouble is that I loved iWeb and MobileMe and it's gone.
