If you have knowledge of or have used a WFI extender I would appreciate information about this.

There is one that has a price of $50.00

Looks good on Amazon.

I am using the AirPort Express to extend mine and it works very well and
very easy to set up.

I have that as well. The extender that I saw on Amazon was portable. Just pug it into an outlet no matter where you are to extend the range.

AE is working very well but an extender, if it works as advertised may be the device to get.

If you have an old router you are no longer using, first check and see it
supports repeater mode, many can. If it can't, check and see if you can
flash Tomato or Pineapple on it to gain this ability (Google).

They only thing that has worked for me, after sending the message, is to go to the bar to open Groups to return to this page.

Strange that this works??

I still think that the answer to this is with Yahoo Groups.

You can get greater range by doing one or more of three things.
1) Get a router that has an antenna port to add an external antenna, and then add an amplified external antenna
2) Get an amplified external antenna for your receiving product (computer, iPad, iPod Touch, etc.) specifically for use with "N" routers
3) Get repeaters

I recommend that you download:

istumbler
http://istumbler.net/

which can tell you about signal strength. It really makes a difference how things are oriented.

For a normal house, even a big normal house, you can probably get by doing just #2 above.

A few days ago I ran ClamXav, I may have change the preferences, I'm not sure. Anyway each morning now Console is running and a log window showing. My Mac run most all the time.

Could I have done something to ClamXam? What do I need to do to stop this?
