I can't get anything but the horizontal barber pole, no update yet. I've done hard resets, network resets, etc,. Nothing. I've let it run and run and run.

While I didn't use a stopwatch, I'd say about 20-25mins from start to
reboot using WiFi via extended network (airport extreme) and Time Warner cable.

I had plugged my iPhone 4 via cord into my iMac and started the 5.1 upgrade. iTunes said 2 hours. 2 hours? I wasn't about to wait 2 hours for my iPhone, the only phone I have. I stopped the upgrade and did it wifi. 20 min later the upgrade was done. For whatever reason wifi was faster. I've never seen this before.

John, after upgrading my iPhone 4 to 5.1, I noticed that I had to
"jump-start" my mail. By this I mean I had to manually tap the name of the
account on the "Mailboxes" screen. However, I have had to do that every
once in a while before, too. Normally as soon as I go to the Mail app, my
IMAP and POP accounts will tell me how many messages I have. Now,
everything seems to be running as it did in the past.

Up until a few days ago, my iPhone 4S had iOS 5.0.1 and I was getting lots
of email. Now after doing the IOS 5.1 upgrade I get very little mail. While
on my iMac G5 I get lots of email. So I suspect the iOS
5.1 upgrade has an email bug. Any one else notice this behavior? The same
thing goes for email on my iPad 1. Commentary, please.

I thought you were talking about all album art.

If only some is missing, then I would guess you had to supply some album art for iTunes because of a bad tag, and that the syncing software is not set up to move it to your device.

Have tried pulling up the info on some of the albums and checking to see if the album art is actually there? If it's there, drag out the album art close the get info, open the get info and put the art back. If the album art isn't there, you can search for the art on Amazon. I get a lot of album and movie/tv art from Amazon.

The devices do not have an LTE chip in them. As another user stated they
are on the updated 3G network, HSDPA+ i believe.
The LTE network is different from the other network.

launch-day iPads via BGR: The Three Biggest Letters In Tech by Zach
Epstein on 3/9/12

Apple began running out of pre-order iPad inventory less than 24 hours
after pre-sales first began. Now, it looks like all of Apple's initial
iPad stock has been depleted. The company's online store currently
shows an estimated ship date of March 19th for every available iPad
model, including the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB Wi-Fi models and each of the
three iPad Wi-Fi + 4G versions for AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Apple
unveiled the new iPad this past Wednesday at a press conference in San
Francisco. The latest version of the wildly popular tablet features a
Retina Display, a dual-core Apple A5X processor, an improved
5-megapixel camera and a slightly redesigned case. Early pre-orders
will become available on Friday, March 16th.

Contacted 1P to no avail. No response.

I had an iTunes problem also, which I thought was unrelated to 1P. Might not have been. I gave up on both problems and restored my iPad and installed my apps again. Put on a clean copy of 1P and set it up new. After setting it up to sync from Dropbox, it did and all my data is back in 1P on my iPad. I'm almost done fixing my iTunes problem also. Maybe the restore cleared whatever was causing the problem.

After updating 1P I changed where 1P looked for its keychain to Dropbox. 1P did not update the keychain. I then manually added passwords, names of apps and icons to show what websites were what. I thought it updated the keychain in Dropbox. I don't know if it did or not. My 1P plugin in Safari didn't update, 1P for iPhone and iPad didn't update either. I don't which part of 1P isn't syncing. Is it 1P on my iMac that has all my passwords not syncing? Or is it 1P on my iDevices and Safari not seeing or updating to Dropbox? Lastly, could it be that something is corrupt somewhere?

Example of Geofencing reminder commands

Posted by: "UnityHappens" unityhappens@gmail.com   whirlagig

Hi,

I'd like to use the geofencing commands on my iPhone 4S.
I'm not sure how to write my reminders so they will work for me.

Would it know to remind me to find a designated paper when I got to Bob's
house?

I'd like some examples of command statements that will work for me.

Thanks!

Just that - Remind me to look for Paper X when I get to Bobs - you will
have to select "bob" from your contacts and his entry will have to have at
least one address.

I use SIRI to set up the reminders. I say "Remind me to go to ZXY when I
leave here" or "Remind me to XYZ when I get home." It works like a charm.

It took about 15 minutes to update my 3GS iPhone to 5.1.

It looks to me like the new method of updating iPhone software is less disruptive than the old way, which erased the iPhone and restored it after the install. Settings > General > About shows Version is 5.1, but I still see 3G rather than 4G when I'm off wifi.

Holding my breath.
