Not sure how well they play with both Facebook and Twitter (I've grown quite annoyed with Facebook and rarely even check it anymore, let alone post anything there) but a couple you might check are HootSuite and Flipboard. I don't have an iPad, but I've seen Flipboard on the iPad and it is quite beautiful there. The iPhone version isn't bad either.

The closest I have got is 'Seesmic' which posts photos just fine. My main gripe is that it can't handle Facebook check-ins.

Thanks for that. I just tried them both. Flipboard is very interesting and great design. Hootsuite can't post photos to Facebook. It just posts a link like many other apps.

My search continues but thanks

If your that into Facebook, then just use their website. I use Twittwr and hardly FB. I don't like the FB Timeline or most of the new stuff FB has. I have an account for the games I play....Draw Something, Words with Friends.

yeah, but it can't post photos to your Facebook Timeline. It just posts a link which makes your Facebook timeline look very bland.
I want something that will post to both while keeping the integrity of the Facebook posts as in:-

I use the Facebook app but i don't want to post things twice. I always forget about Twitter and I'm trying to get into it hence wanting a dual posting app that works properly.

Thanks. I tried it but the app didn't work well and the website was worse.
When I did get it working it didn't do what I wanted.

Thanks

And I am the other way, I barely use Facebook, and when I tried Twitter I found it annoying.

I use Facebook to keep in touch with co-workers around the world, after hundreds and now thousands of us have been laid off. Otherwise, I find most of social networking like being back in high school. I'll pass on re-doing that experience. I never was a crowd follower, and I don't need to share my every waking moment.

One of my buddies and his wife both post dozens of things to their Facebook accounts all throughout the day, and Dan wonders why some of our co-workers have unfriended him. Too much information.

Yes but the moment one did that and synced to a new account all the old phone contacts would be replaced by the new ones.

Yes, and then you switch back to your regular account when you are finished with the shared account.

Like I said before, I have read posts on this, but have not done it myself.

Otherwise everyone has to email additions and changes to everyone else, and set up groups, which is well hidden by Apple, and so many new and existing users don't realize is available.

There is always more than one way of doing things. We're here to share and see if someone else has a better idea.

No. The moment you sync to a new account all the old contacts will go, only to reappear when u switch back.

There's option to keep the contacts. It is possible to have 2 icloud
accounts. That would be a better option. Have your different accounts and
move the common contacts to a diferent icloud account and sync with iphone
4s.

Does this app exist?

I'm not sure if the is the right place for an app question (is there a more appropriate place?) but I am looking for an iPhone 4S app that allows you to follow select NBA players to see how they are doing as the season goes along. I am trying to keep an eye on former Florida Gators in the NBA (other sports would be nice to). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would you believe it! I visited <http://www.nba.com/>, and moved to
the Mobile page.

Have a look at
<http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/nba.tv/id484672289?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D4>
or look for NBA.TV in iTunes.

There are "passes" listed as in-app purchases.

Sidenote:
AppsGoneFree (app) lists some baseball games for iOS as free today.

This app has had very poor reviews and I believe this is the one I tried where the app was free but they kept wanting to charge you for any content.

I think you can use ScoreMobile to do what you're wanting to do. You can
set up teams and players to follow.

Syncing iPhone 4s iOS 5

 I have:
iPhone 4s iOS 5
iCloud account
Window 7 computer with Outlook 2010, iTunes and iCloud Win7 software.

My question is: "What do I sync to whom???"
This is what I've tried so far:

          ** iCloud **
I expect I want the phone to sync and backup
wirelessly to the cloud.

Win7 Computer: Outlook mail, contacts, calenders and tasks
sync with the cloud via the iCloud Win7 software.

Win7 Explore Bookmarks sync with the cloud via the iCloud Win7 software.

A couple of Win7 file directories sync to iCloud photostream
 via the iCloud Win7 software.

    ** itunes **
The phone plugs into the Win 7 computer to iTunes, to
sync music and movies. I have so much music,
movies, etc, that it would overfill the iPhone and
swamp the iCloud. So I use iTunes to select what
movies and music to download.

I don't see a need to sync Apps or Books to iTunes
as they are easily available from the Cloud. Although
if I did it would give redundancy should the iCloud not
be available. Also itunes appears to be a convenient
way to choose and organize the apps on the phone.

That's my thinking. Any advice, suggestions or cautions?
This whole process is very complex and I find I get
confused.

Sincerely
/blair

iPhone 4s iOS 5 email download

How do I set my iPhone 4s, iOS 5, so when it downloads
email from my ME.COM account, it doesn't delete it from
the mail server?

I want my computer to also download the mail, to archive it;
but can't if the phone deletes it from the server first.

Sincerely
/blair

The me.com address should automatically set up as IMAP when you configure it on the phone so it will remain on the server unless you delete it from the phone. The IMAP protocol allows you to always be synced with the server (assuming you are connected to the internet) so what you do on one device is reflected on other devices.

Other Mail accounts besides me.com can be set up as POP3 but I don't believe me.com allows this. If you are set up as Pop3, just go into the advanced settings and set it to leave messages on the server.
