What is New:
The new update continues to improve MacDeveloper's usefulness as well as enhances the testing experience for both developers, as well as testers. MacDeveloper is now a subscription based service. Project Channels may be created, published and are billed month to month. The Developer is billed for only as long as the Project Channel is open for testing.

Project Channels may be renewed at any time. This is a very welcomed addition as it imports all existing tickets, comments, and subscribed testers to create a new Project. In order for Developers to monitor beta cycles from project-to-project, they may now change the status of tickets on closed Project Channels.

SG Project OnePage uses a novel approach to documenting and managing projects called 12-by-12 Project Management, in which each project is represented on a single page, in a very specific format. The page has 12 horizontal rows that represent 12 tasks that make up the project plan. In the vertical direction, there are 12 columns that define time blocks. Each Project has a start date/time and a time scale. The time scale can be hours, days, weeks, months, quarters, or years. For example, one project may start at 10 a.m. on the first day of the year and run for 12 hours, and another project may start on the same date/time and run for 12 months.

Each of the 12 tasks can be assigned an Owner so that it is clear who is accountable for that part of the project. And the format supports tracking planned and forecasted costs, cost variances for the whole project, green/amber/red status indicators, project objectives, and overall project status comments. By design, the text fields in SG Project OnePage, such as Task Names, Project Objectives, and Project Status Notes are limited to two compact lines of text. This forces users to be very concise and choose each word carefully in order to communicate the full status. The result is a consistent, high level, and complete picture of the status of any project on a single page. For some projects, the 12-by-12 format will be adequate and a great tool for managing the project. In other cases, the format is useful as a top-level reporting tool, where a more detailed plan is maintained using another tool, such as SG Project Pro.

Top Camera incorporates a highly sophisticated, user-selectable focus zone feature, as well as user-selectable exposure zone. This means that iPhone photographers can optimize focus for any part of the photo, and set the exposure by locating that zone that produces the best results. Users just drag the purple box on the screen to the area they would like to have in the sharpest focus. Then they grab the green box and move it around in the frame to find the optimal exposure setting for the scene.

Top Camera's advanced HDR capabilities extend this feature to a range of iOS devices (any device with a built-in camera), overcoming Apple's limited support for only iPhone 4. According to Apple, "Now you can take great photos that capture a wider range of light intensity using the new high dynamic range (HDR) setting. After selecting HDR, just point a device at your subject and shoot. iPhone/iPad automatically captures three photos of the scene - each with different exposure levels. Then it layers the shots together to create a single photo that combines the best elements of each shot and more accurately represents the wide range of light in the scene. Both the regular shot and the HDR photo appear in the Camera Roll."

The app also incorporates a new Slow Shutter Mode that brings the compact iPhone even closer to the capabilities of a DSLR camera. Set to Automatic, Slow Shutter Mode produces a blur around moving objects, while maintaining a perfect exposure. Set to Manual, it allows shooting in extremely low light without a flash. And using the Light Trail setting produces pictures where moving lights, such as cars at night, produce time-lapse, trails of light.

General:
The app was designed in cooperation with Artist / Photographer David Scott Leibowitz to incorporate the highest quality in every detail. An extraordinary amount of time was spent designing the interface, to make it as beautiful and intuitive as possible:

In shooting mode, the app provides a host of visual aids to help users take the best photograph possible. Controls are quick and intuitive: one indicator for focus, and a second indicator for exposure. The photographer now has the fine adjustment camera controls missing from the iPhone's camera:

* Virtual Horizon - provides a visual leveling bar to keep images perfectly straight

* Focus Box

Photo Gallery:
Clicking the picture icon in the lower left corner brings the user into the world of Folders, Viewing, Editing, and Sharing. Entering this function of the app, photographers can see the contents of selected folder. Selecting an image in the Main folder reveals a pop-up window with options to view, edit, change folder, export, delete, or email the image:

* Folders - organize photos into folders. Create new folders, delete, reorder, export, change names, and move photos from one folder to another
* Export - paste image to clipboard, export to photos or send by e-mail
* Share - send one or more images to Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, YouTube or Flicker
* Add new photos - import from the Photo Library, paste from the clipboard or duplicate a selected image
* Select mode - Switching to select mode allows the user to quickly select many images, and then delete them, change folder, send by e-mail, share on Facebook/Twitter/YouTube/Dropbox/Flickr, export to the Photo Library and copy to clipboard
* Reduce video size

Viewer:
Tapping the View button, or double tapping on a thumbnail will bring up the folder's images for fullscreen viewing and also give users info options to see the photo's metadata including a GPS map view. Clicking the action icon in the top right corner displays a pop-up with e-mail/edit/change folder/export buttons:

Photo Editor:

"The app was useable before with VoiceOver turned on, but it was impossible to mark items as completed or not because the app's swipe gesture was overridden by VoiceOver," explains Derek Gour, owner of SlippySoft Inc., the maker of Listo. After receiving feedback from customers, Gour customized some behaviours for when VoiceOver is turned on, and now the app can be used completely blind.

The first stop was the international Consumer Electronics Show. The next stop was Macworld, a haven for all things Apple related. Cape Coral, Florida - In their relentless pursuit to get the word out about what Apple can do for industry. i.Business Magazine spent January crisscrossing North America to show just how Apple technology is changing the face of business.

The first stop was the international Consumer Electronics Show (CES). This year was the largest it has been since it started 44 years ago. With over 1.8 million square feet of exhibit space and over 3,100 companies showing off their latest and greatest; i.Business Magazine has shown why it is the "go to" magazine for established and up and coming apple products and solutions.

Giving out over 5,000 copies of the magazine to those that stopped by the i.Business booth. Another 5000 copies were distributed through the Official Media Partner Bins scattered throughout the buildings. "CES opened the flood gates for i.Business Magazine. With over 10,000 copies distributed the word has gone out that there is a business publication that focuses on Apple technology and business solutions and how they apply to the business worlds," says Carmine De Santo publisher of i.Business Magazine.
The next stop was Macworld, a haven for all things Apple related. As an exhibitor in the mobile apps section of the show, i.Business Magazine distributed over 15,000 copies of the magazines "new look" issue #7. "We are very happy having received so much positive feedback and support from so many new readers. In the past few days, the spike in subscriptions has been overwhelming and encouraging," says JC Seymour Editor-in-Chief of i.Business Magazine.

The final stop saw i.Business Magazine as the official sponsor of the i.Menu Expo in Vancouver. The i.Menu Expo is designed for restaurant/hospitality owners/managers looking for new solutions using the Tablet technology. i.Business Magazine handed out over 4,000 copies and put itself as resource to service industry leaders on where to look for solutions.

Asked how he felt the response of the 3 different shows were, Carmine De Santo, Publisher said "the immediate feedback was great from all the attendees, vendors and fellow exhibitors at each show.
