To play a song is made easy, simply follow the 2 scrolling measures of music and press the key with the red dot on it as the note passes the scoring area. When this happens you can simply look at the scrolling music and just press the key when the note is over the scoring area. It is at this point that you have successfully managed to read and play music, a skill that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
The other important musical concept taught in this app is tempo, the notes scroll at a rate which will always keep you in-time as you only play the note when it's over the scoring area, for short duration notes the music will scroll faster and for long duration notes it will scroll slower. This teaches the crucial concept that notes have different durations and soon you will get a feel for the different types of note.
The inspiration behind this app was to help everyone to start to play and enjoy music from babies that are just starting to learn about music to adults that want to start learning an instrument.

Retro arcade game fanatics rejoice. The "Ball Blaster" trilogy of games is now available for iOS. Starting with the original Ball Blaster game, the speed and game play is cranked way up with many weapons, power-ups and enemies to deal with through over 100 challenging game levels, with over 300+ in the complete trilogy. Ball Blaster 3 picks up where Ball Blaster 2 left off with even more extreme weapons, mega power-ups and new aggressive enemies that shoot back and now have shields.
Durham, North Carolina - Ball Blaster is a series of games that represent a new and exciting spin on your favorite retro style brick breaker game play. Starting with the original Ball Blaster game, the speed and game play is cranked way up with many weapons, power-ups and enemies to deal with through over 100 challenging game levels (over 300 in the complete trilogy). This is certainly not your father's brick breaker.
Game play can be very fast and exciting with numerous balls to keep alive, falling bricks to avoid, weapons to fire, enemies to dodge, cannons to avoid, and all the while trying to clear the level. Even with so many things happening, the game play and animation is smooth and enjoyable. Given there are so many levels and challenges, you can save your game and pick up where you left off later, or try a level over and over (you'll definitely need it!).
Continuing the trilogy, Ball Blaster 2 cranks up the action with new mega power-ups, massive weapons, and aggressive enemies that shoot back at you! There are new types of bricks to break, bonuses to achieve and game behaviors to deal with. Game action and simultaneous in-game objects is extremely high making for some truly mind blowing game action! Objectives get progressively harder though 100 levels including target scores and timed levels to beat.
Concluding the trilogy, Ball Blaster 3 picks up where Ball Blaster 2 left off with even more extreme weapons, mega power-ups and new aggressive enemies that shoot back and now have shields! In addition to 100 levels with time and score goals, the craft now has a shield, adding a new dimension to the game to deal with. There are more brick types to break, bonuses to achieve, and guns, cannons, lasers and bombs to avoid. The game also now also supports completely free form angles, making it that much harder to deal with fast bouncing balls!
The lite (and free) version of each game in the trilogy showcases the first 10 levels with a range of brick, enemy and power-up types, but that is just a taste of the exciting and fast paced game play you will enjoy. The full version has more super power-ups, new brick and ball behaviors, faster game play and progressively harder and creative boards that require speed, as well as smarts. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!
For added challenging fun, each game in the trilogy now includes additional "bonus" levels which each have individual achievement goals and are intended to be highly difficulty. New bonus levels will be continually added for free providing new challenges to tackle! These games also include a "kids mode" which randomly creates a new board every time and disables menus so that you or your kids can play uninterrupted.

The purpose of the game is to link together colours to form your secret pattern.
Brisbane, Australia - Webback Services, an Australian-based technology company has announced that Version 2.0 of iOS puzzle game Arabian Tiles, inspired by the Android secret pattern-based lock screen has released on the app store.
"There is a clear fascination with the android lock screen among some iOS users, with fake android lock screen apps appearing on the top charts of many iOS stores. As a former Android user, one of the funnest parts of the OS was the lock-screen. So I thought, why not make it even funner and make it an actual game." a Webback Services developer described.
The purpose of the game is to link together colours, similar to how you would unlock an android phone by dragging across the screen to form your secret pattern. Of course, the developers have added other elements such as combos, chains, and power-ups. This combination has created a highly addictive game.
The company also is also going against the trend of in-app purchases. The game does have a store, however the items in the store can only be bought with in-game currency, which are golden coins earned while playing the game.
"The current trend of in-app purchases is getting out of hand. Consumers should not be supporting games that want you to spend $1.99 to get a single virtual weapon."
Version 2.0 of the App has the following updates:
* Added a new level with an 8-bit theme
* Added 4 more tracks to the soundtrack
* Added a new power: pixels!
* Chain System added rewarding speed play
* Levels added in Arcade Mode. Higher levels increase the drop rate of coins, but the difficulty increases

CB Labs, creators of the popular iOS game The Adventures of Timmy, have also stepped up to help put a stop to teen bullying. For the entirety of the campaign the game will be completely free to download and play. Users will see a call to action to take the quiz as well as bullying stats displayed throughout the game to help raise awareness.
New York, New York - DoSomething.org has had it with bullying and the adults who don't stand up and do something. With the help of spokesperson Victoria Justice and the much buzzed about documentary, BULLY released in theaters March 30th, DoSomething. org is giving teens a chance to address the realities of bullying in their schools and identify ways to make a change through the first ever student-led nationwide bullying census.
When bullying is witnessed, teens only intervene 11% of the time, while adults interfere even less so. Shockingly, most of the time there is NO intervention. Instead of continuing on the trend of issuing statistics gleaned from adult insights, DoSomething.org is finally lending a voice to those directly affected by bullying: the teens themselves.
Running through May, and acting as the kick-off initiative for the BULLY film social action campaign, DoSomething.org's Bully Project urges students to speak up about bullying via a short Facebook quiz. The questions were created for teens by teens - namely those in DoSomething. org's Youth Advisory Council, comprised of 200 young people across the country. Once completed, the students will get immediate results stating how their school is rated against the nationwide average, and they are encouraged to share the census and results with all of their Facebook friends. The census has been vetted by experts who develop sustainable solutions to bullying, and who are advising on how to use the data in meaningful, empirical ways to bring about lasting change.
At the close of the campaign, DoSomething.org and BULLY will issue the results, consisting of a national report card with information gathered from the students themselves.
Teens who participate by taking the short quiz will have the chance of being randomly selected to receive a college scholarship of up to $10,000. Bonus! The more people who share the census with their Facebook friends, the more the scholarship increases, making this the first 'social scholarship' DoSomething.org has ever offered.
CB Labs, creators of the popular iOS game The Adventures of Timmy, have also stepped up to help put a stop to teen bullying. For the entirety of the campaign the game, normally $1.99 in the Apple AppStore, will be completely free to download and play. Users will see a call to action to take the quiz as well as bullying stats displayed throughout the game to help raise awareness.
"As soon as we heard about the campaign, we knew it was a perfect fit" said Adam Kahn, the games creator. "Our game is all about the struggle a kid goes through when he is bullied. So if we can help to combat real bullying at the same time users combat it fictionally, then we've really done something extraordinary."
Victoria Justice isn't tolerating bullying either. She has joined DoSomething.org's anti-bullying brigade that includes celebs such as Vinny Guadagnino and Brittany Snow, to create a Public Service Announcement (PSA) encouraging students and fans alike to take five minutes out of their day to help improve the state of bullying in our school systems. SparkNotes is also supporting the fight against bullies and joining DoSomething. org's Bully Project by spreading the word about the campaign to their vast student audience.

Using the shape of a triangle, numbers are presented in two of the corners with a question mark inside a box in the third corner. Children solve the incomplete math fact by dragging a number from the number line into the answer box.
There are 16 levels in all that are colorfully drawn to keep young minds engaged. As the game is played, children begin to learn the relationship between addition and subtraction facts. The simple but fun design lets students learn math facts four at a time instead of one by one.
The Random timed component tests the users' newfound math skills with a timed quiz. To reduce anxiety, the timer is not shown on the screen, but elapsed time is given on the results page along with the number of correct answers, and which facts the student still needs to study.
The app was initially designed for first grade students, but has been shown to be a valuable learning tool for giving kindergarten children a head start in math. It is also great for struggling second graders.

Random Widgets today introduces iBehave 1.0 for iOS, their Utility app that helps kids improve their behavior by rewarding them with marbles in a jar, and when they collect enough marbles, they win a predetermined prize. While Rewards Charts work, young kids need more immediate feedback. At the moment their child behaves in a way they want to encourage or discourage, parents can provide immediate feedback by opening their iDevice and showing the child that marbles have been added or subtracted.
Miami, Florida - Random Widgets today is pleased to introduce iBehave 1.0 for iOS, their new Utility app that helps kids improve their behavior by rewarding them with marbles in a jar, and when they collect enough marbles, they win a predetermined prize. Parenting is the hardest job in the world, and while Rewards Charts work, young kids need more immediate feedback. At the moment their child behaves in a way they want to encourage or discourage, parents can provide immediate feedback by opening their iDevice and showing the child that marbles have been added or subtracted from their jar.
At launch in portrait orientation, users go to the New Child Page, where parents can enter the names of their children, the prize each is working toward, a choice of six different colors for the marbles, and the number of marbles needed to fill the jar and win the prize. After entry, all the names are displayed on the Children Setup list page. Touching the name of any child (or adult) in the list opens their page for editing. Touching the Done button displays the child's Marble Jar at the bottom of the screen, with +1, +2, and +3 marbles along the left side and -1, -2, and -3 marbles along the right. Parents or kids drag the appropriate marble (-3 to +3) to the jar, and the number of marbles visible in the jar changes accordingly. The center display keeps a running total, e.g., 20 to win Candy.

While the app has been targeted at preschoolers, immediate positive or negative reinforcement is a powerful tool for behavior modification of children and adults of any age. If every family member has a marble jar, self-improvement becomes a team sport, where moms and dads, sisters and brothers can all rely on each other for support.
"Preschool children don't always understand why some behaviors are considered 'good' and other behaviors 'bad'," stated Ahan Malhotra of Random Widgets.
