Again Richard, thanks.
When I ordered the Verizon iPhone online this Summer got the Hotspot
feature. Being new to a Smartphone didn't realize that was a feature we
could turn on and off without messing up the unlimited Data plan. Rarely
use the hotspot but wanted it as it was cheaper than a MiFi and knew we
wouldn't use much Hotspot data.
After your first msg, called Verizon Customer Service and verified the
on/off feature of the Hotspot and it wouldn't mess up my unlimited data.
Turned off the Hotspot and of course a few days later high winds knocked
out the house power and DSL. Almost called back to turn the hotspot back
on, but since I expected the outage to be short, just got email and
internet using the phone's keyboard and 3G data. Didn't really need to
use the hotspot for the iPad or laptop.
The extra $20 comes in handy.

Apple Announcement

I hear the Apple announcement is Oct 4, only a few days away. There's rumors of a new iPhone. I don't hear any rumors of a new iPod Touch or any iPod. I wonder when or if they'll be upgraded. Christmas is coming. What is Apple putting out in time for Christmas? Any guesses?
