What's a good website to watch for live streaming notes during the show?

Naturally I can't remember where I went last time but I know there are some
that do it. I don't mean Twitter (which I don't do) but a regular website
with constant commenting going during the show.
Thanks.

Well iPhone 4S

Posted by: "Bill Boulware" bill.boulware@gmail.com   boulware0224

Well new iPhone 4S - looks the same, A5 processor that iPad 2 has, new 8MP /
1080P camera, biggest feature is Siri (kept same name) and tons of voice
assistant features and 64GB model for $399 (same $199/$299 pricing for
16GB/32GB).

The iPhone 4 will stay and is now $99 as does the 3GS which is free on
contract.

The 4S comes out on the 14th a week from Friday, iOS 5 & iCloud come out Wed
10/12 and iTunes Match comes out "End of October" - no firm date.

In total? Underwhelmed excite voice features.

I think Siri is only for iPhone 4S. It's a reason to make people upgrade.

Well, it's still early, but I may skip this one.
(Though I initially said that with the 3GS)
Generally I'm underwhelmed by this one, at least what I've heard so far.
I will not likely be pre-ordering.

I am about the same. I went Android after the 3GS and was hoping to
be back with this as my contract is up but now not sure. I might
just get the Galaxy S 2 and wait for the iPhone 5.

Siri requires the increased capabilities of the A5 CPU. So, only on the 4S.

If I were confident that there was no iPhone 5 coming in 2012, I would definitely upgrade our 3GS to a 4S, and swap my 4 to my wife, and keep the 4S (I'm the heavier user, by far). And slide the 3GS down to our friend with the 3G.

But I suspect I will *really* want a 5....

I'm downloading GM master and will confirm but I tend to agree, it wasn't in
any of the previous betas and there is no mention that Siri requires
internet connection or that it would work on iPad or iPod Touch so I think
it not only requires the A5 but also the 1GB of RAM.

Table courtesy of The Verge. Go past the fold for the full version.

Our friends over at The Verge have beaten everyone to the comparison
punch by creating this fine table that offers an at-the-glance overview
of the key hardware features of the newly introduced iPhone 4S and the
eighteen months old iPhone 4. Hope you don't mind that the new iPhone
4S is a tad heavier than its predecessor, full three grams to be
precise. We take it you'll also appreciate Siri, an iPhone 4S exclusive
personal assistant based on software which "helps you get things done
just by asking". We take it you'll also appreciate an hour longer talk
time on the iPhone 4S and the new 64GB model costing $399. The full
table is right below the fold.

It's not an iPhone mini or anything, but it's the first iPhone with
Siri. And that has to count for something, right? Right? While it's no
iPhone 5 (not even close, really), the iPhone 4S is far from
being "last year's iPhone," and the greatly enhanced camera, bolstered
A5 dual-core processor and inbuilt voice command should provide plenty
of reason for folks to upgrade if they're near the end of their
contract. Furthermore, having the option on Sprint -- despite Apple
almost announcing it as an afterthought -- is bound to make folks
already entrenched on the Now Network think twice about what their next
phone will come upgrade time.

We were able to spend a few quality moments with the refreshed iPhone 4
here at Apple's campus, and as you might expect... it's an iPhone 4.
But S-ier. Much in the same way that the 3GS improved the overall
experience of the 3G, the 4S does likewise compared to the existing 4.
The dual-core A5 chip is a laudatory improvement, and whisking about
pages, loading the camera application and launching, well, just about
everything, just feels zippier. As it should.

The 8 megapixel sensor doesn't look any different from the outside, but
we're trusting that Apple's re-engineered the interior. As for weight
and feel? Just like the old king. We'll be updating this post with our
impressions live from Cupertino, but for now, feast your retinas on the
galleria of JPEGs below.

Apple unveils micro USB adapter for iPhones in Europe

Sent to you by Bill Boulware via Google Reader: Apple unveils micro USB
adapter for iPhones in Europe via 9to5Mac by Christian Zibreg on 10/4/11

It's been long time coming and it's finally here. The U.K. online Apple
store now lists the Apple iPhone Micro USB Adapter, available for £8.00
and shipping October 14. From Apple:

The Apple iPhone Micro USB Adapter allows you to use third-party micro
USB cables and chargers to sync or charge your iPhone. Simply connect
your iPhone to the Micro USB Adapter, then connect a micro USB cable or
charger to the Micro USB Adapter

Standards bodies in Europe had agreed last year that all mobile phones
sold in Europe should drop proprietary connectors in favor of standard
USB jacks. Apple's been ignoring the initiative up to the point when
some watchers questioned whether the European Union should fine the
Cupertino, California-based gadget maker.

AS it turns out, Apple has elegantly addressed those concerns with this
dongle. What it does for Apple is it lets them follow the letter of the
law without redesigning the iPhone or, worse, risk incompatibility
problems with a billion dollar ecosystem of accessories that take
advantage of Apple's 30-pin dock connector.
