Subject: [apple-iphone] Another I Phone 4 Question

Hi,

I put a photo of my dog as the wallpaper on my I phone. I was trying to move all the icons down to the bottom of the screen so they weren't covering her face but they keep moving back up except for the line of 4 that always stay at the bottom. Is there a way all the icons can be moved to the bottom of the I phone 4 screen so the top part is clear & you can see my dog's face in the photo?

Thanks.

Janice

This is kind of a "hokey" way to do it but you can "move" all the apps from the first page to the second page leaving just the bottom row on the first screen. Or you can move all of them except the top row and across the very bottom of screen. This would leave the middle "open" to still see their pretty pic! : ) Hope that helps some.

I don't qualify for upgrade until Feb 1 next year. If I upgrade now, it's $499 for the iPhone 4s on AT&T. That's what AT&T says. I've been with AT&T since before iPhone 1.

Well, I know I'm fully paid up! on my one, lonely, no-subs, line.
And my contract was as a new customer (not upgrade) at iPhone4 launch.

I'm not interested in an upgrade now, but I do find the upgrade eligibility
dating peculiar.

Maybe it's (also) considering that I have low-rate plans.
Apparently I'm now (until mid-Feb) eligible to pay full retail on their
no-commitment plan.

Upgrade date is determined by the amount you pay on THAT line, account
standing (bill paid in full, on time, etc), date of last upgrade, etc. This
can be moved up, at most, by 30 days at the discretion of an AT&T store
manager - Apple can do not anything about upgrade dates.

It should be an option to be turned on or off in settings. I think Siri is a great thing to play around with. Come back and let me know how much you're using it 6 months or a year from when you start using it and let me know how often you use it.

BTW, how often do you send photos through your SMS?

I find I do not use voice and data at the same time enough to keep my AT&T. I do not make or receive enough calls. So Sprint is a better deal for me. I am unable to change carriers until Aug 31 of next year.

My debit card got declined while I was making a big purchase at Home Depot. I had to call the bank and use their website at the same time to get the error fixed. They didn't like my recent purchase history and thought they were doing me a favor by locking my account. I had to quote dollar amounts from my bank's website for verification. All done from Home Depot. I was able to complete my large purchase and didn't have to return "later". That dual functionality was superb!

Pabitra: that's what people don't take into consideration. Some excellent areas, some good areas, some fair areas and some bad areas with every provider. I do not consider reviews where all the reviewer says is they hate whatever provider because of dropped calls. It's their area.

I had to get my iPhone at the ATT store because the Apple store didn't know
anything about the Senior voice plan. I had no trouble with dealing with
ATT.

For problems with an actual Apple *device*, yes, I'd go (and I have gone) to
the Genius Bar. They're very nice, but they don't know all the nuts&bolts
about cell-provider plans -- and not everything is on Apple's order form.
