Anyone have one yet

Has anyone on the East coast made it in a store or received a delivery yet?

I know some of you have emailed off list that you are in line - doors opened
and deliveries started at 8a, am anxious for first thoughts from "real"
users

I guess I am not getting one today. I didn't get an email from AT&T. I must
not have been one of the first 200K.

Did you check your Order Status att.com/orderstatus - I always prefer to
order directly from Apple - say what you will but their Order System is very
thorough - the glitches are almost always because of checking with carriers
for upgrade eligibility. Unfortunately next year when I hope to get a
Verizon LTE iPhone, it is going to be an issue because Apple's system
doesn't support "Business Accounts"...

I couldn't do that, Bill. My phone was not eligible for an upgrade. I had to
use another phone on my account. Only AT&T would help me with it.

Hrm, you can do it with Apple - at least you can try - I even let a friend
use one of my lines to upgrade last year - when you go to the eligibility
check enter the number that is eligible, the last 4 of social and zip for
account it is on and shipping address will default to that account. Then
once order is processed you can edit it and change shipping address if
needed. Once you receive the phone, you have to activate it on the line you
upgraded, then move it to the line you want it on, get a NEW replacement SIM
for the line you upgraded and make sure they remove the data plan (you have
to give them an ESN / MEID for a non smart phone to remove data). It is a
few phone calls but it can be done.

The phone I upgraded was not anywhere close to me. They said for me to bring
new 4S to AT&T before turning it on and they would do the switch so it would
not kill the line I upgraded.

I have not received an email from AT&T either. Interesting since the salesmen said I would get it today. White 64gb, I would figure to be the least popular phone. Ordered at about 1:00 pdt last Friday

I lost ringtones, too. Of nine custom ringtones, eight could not be updated. I wonder if the time length requirement has changed for iOS5. The ringtone that was retained is about 19 seconds, the others average 29 seconds. All other attributes are the same.

They should be in iTunes to sync back or at worst you can redownload.

Google moving MMe content to iCloud. Or you can move your iTunes purchases
to a different Apple ID every 90 days (it is backup for changing email
addresses but is limited for DRM reasons). Or you can leave them
separately, you can set up multiple iCloud accounts or one iCloud account
and a separate "Store" account.

From mac goto system preferences. Goto icloud. Now you'll see the things
that snc to this account. If you sign out it says it would deletd from
computer. I'm sure you don't want that. Goto ical, backup data locally. Same
with all that syncs. Once done now signout. Create a new account. Restore
all that you bcked up. Now you're good to go.

Do you have to wait 30 days before you can delete your pictures from your photo stream?

days.

Hrm maybe you can't delete them, I just tried on iPhone and there is no
delete option either. Maybe they have to be deleted from the Camera Roll on
the device they were taken on. Or it could be one of those things Apple
never considered - "who would take a picture they would want to delete" - IE
the first thought is a "not so wholesome" image, which we know is
Anti-Apple....
