So my dealer fills out some paperwork, goes in the back and come out with a little box, I'm thinking he's going to give me a loaner iphone. So as he is removing my phones simcard I ask him how long does it normally take, without batting an eye says 4-6 weeks . Then if that wasn't bad enough my loaner phone is some piece of crap Nokia, it must be at least 4yrs old. I said are you serious, you are going to give me this for the next 4-6 weeks. I live in BC and the phone is sent back east, Toronto I guess, they look at it, and if needs parts sent out for the parts, fix it and send it back west to BC.

If you still have your iPhone, try plugging in your Apple earbuds with microphone and see if you still have the problem. Also check to see that your mute button isn't on when you have the problem.

Cannot creat a reminder or calendar event!!

All of a sudden I cannot create calendar event or a reminder not even Siri can create a reminder. I have notice since I can not create reminder or calendar event my battery life has decreased. Looks like a permissions problem on the file to create calendar events but do not have a terminal to change. Looks like the iPhone is trying a constant sync with the email server either gmail or yahoo to pull down events but cant so the phone keeps trying killing the battery I can backup and restore the iPhone 4s and it will fix the problem but it keeps happening trying to find a solution.

I know of no way to block spam text messages.

Since you have a 3G, you are with AT&T. You can report spam text to AT&T with the app from the iTune Store called My AT&T.

If your phone is registered with the Federal Trade Commission Do Not Call List, then you can file a complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/

If you are not registered, then register.

It will not stop it, but it will help. There is a scam going around right now, but they are spoofing the phone number that shows. Do Not Respond to them! I look up the phone number, if it is complete, and that is how I know they sometimes spoof the number, especially when they tell you to call another.

I don't have a text plan with my phone as I rarely send or receive texts. I know, most of you think I live in a cave! I hate paying for unwanted messages. I have a 3G phone.

I found the best way to avoid getting spam text messages or phone calls on your phone is to not give your number to anyone. Obviously you want your friends and family to be able to reach you, and perhaps your kid's school, or soccer coach, but other than that, keep your number to yourself. I've been getting spam calls for about the same amount of time I signed up for mobile coupons from a couple of retailers. Coincidence? I don't think so. Pastor Diane

I have noticed better battery life with 5.0.1. I have a Mophie too, but I didn't use it until the iPhone got to 20% (in the red). My day started at 7:00am with full charge with both Bluetooth and Wifi antennas on all day. The 20% warning came on at 3pm, normally it would have been 1:30pm.

I turned the Mophie case on at that time and it got it up to 100 again. The battery never got into the red until now at 1:40am as I was typing this. I just woke up so it was dormant since about 11pm when it was in the mid 20's.

Today I will drain the Mophie case first and then drain the iPhone battery next.

Thanks,

Carl W. Brooks

Hi Will,

AirPrint will do it together with an Wi-Fi printer.
If you want to buy one, check the reference list
of the printer to be sure it is compatible with AirPrint.

See also here: http://www.apple.com/ipad/features/airprint.html

We use for our IPhones and IPad an HP C310.
It works perfect........

I use Printopia (http://www.ecamm.com/mac/printopia/) That way I didn't have to buy a wifi printer.
